The place is absolutely beautiful and the staff is amazing.
The room was clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in!

Intimate setting, few rooms surrounding a nice pool (with bar service). Rooms were cute. They have a restaurant which comes handy if you just wanna hang out at the hotel.

Loved the atmosphere and location, eating breakfast just a couple of metres from the sea and gorgeous tropical trees and landscape of the large property.

The sidewalks are hard to walk on and not maintained.
The sidewalks are hard to walk on and not maintained. There were a lot of restaurants and businesses. Beach access was almost non-existent where we stayed. I must say the “New Queen” restro had the best nasi goreng we have had to date. Staff there was great as well.

Bayshore Villas is an excellent property.... There is little to inspire you within walking distance of the property other than the Bintang Restaurant and Loaf Candidasa Cafe both of which are excellent. If it's a quiet relaxing time just doing very little then this is the place. Other than that Candidasa is uninspiring.

Its a must to check out the whole area before you go.
Its a must to check out the whole area before you go. Use aerial maps. Most of CD is a very narrow strip along the coast with the main road very close - 150m, along half of it. Makes chaos out of what would be a low key destination. There are choices east and west which could suit some people better.

Candidasa doesn’t have the hustle and bustle of towns in the south, which we loved. It’s more laid back and still has an authentic Bali vibe. The locals are brilliant, so friendly and helpful. There’s enough shops and restaurants, bars and warungs to cater to our needs. We love Candidasa and will return.

Candidasa is quiet, away from the madness of places like Legian, Kuta and Semin yak, It takes about 2 hours to get there if traffic is light. Locals are very friendly, trustworthy and honest. Some more upmarket places but mostly mid range. I prefer to eat at local "Warrunggs": better and cheaper and you get to know the locals. You can watch AFL at "Crazy Kangaroo"

We visited 20 years ago, thought we’d go back, it’s pretty disappointing really. No beach! We stayed in 2 hotels, one was excellent, great amenities, great pool, international quality, the other was traditional Balinese, rundown and need of renovation. Ate at Vincent’s, nice atmosphere but shouldn’t have had the salad as we both got sick! Remember don’t eat salads unless at an international hotel. We won’t be back.
The hotel has a cute vibe going in the cottages and around the pool area. The cottage was well equipped with a very comfortable bed and sheets and plenty of furniture. Some areas are a bit run down as everywhere in Bali.
Clean bathroom and nice outdoor area
View of the lily pond from the breakfast area
New outdoor furniture throughout the hotel area
Restaurant had a middle eastern vibe which looked interesting but it was mostly empty
Cosy pool area for relaxing
So happy to return to Bali Santi, our favourite accommodation in Bali. The rooms are exceptional value for money and the views at the pool and restaurant area are picture perfect. While not in the main restaurant area a good walk or the use of one of the plentiful drivers make this our go to stay in Candidasa. Can't wait to return.
We loved our stay in Villa Barong during our holiday trip to East Bali. The villa is clean and spacious. Clean bedroom and bathroom. Great view of the swimming pool and garden. Thank you Nengah and Putu for hosting us, also making sure we got everything we need for making our stay pleasant.
The service is excellent. The location perfect. The rooms are spacious and traditional Balinese style which I loved. The gardens and hotel are maintained immaculately. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It was really quiet which was amazing.. Bed was awesome too..
This amazing villa has everything you need for a relaxing Bali holiday. Super clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, huge living spaces and very friendly staff. It’s hard to leave.
