Love everything. Breakfast was superb. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable (I like the harder type of mattress. If you like the soft ones, you probably won't like it.) Location was great. Lots of food and market around. Worth the price paid for the stay.

Location wise is good, nearby stores and eateries. Staff is exceptional. They are very helpful and polite. During check-in I informed them that we will going out very early the next day, so instead of normal breakfast time start at 7:00 am they served breakfast the next day at 6:00 am to accommodate us! Got problem with my shower and they fixed the issue immediately. Room is clean.

Centrally located in very close proximity to key tourists attractions, and also a great supermarket and nice coffee shop in the lobby area. Staff very friendly and professional spoke good English. Room was spacious and clean, good wifi signal. Fridge, kettle large TV! Would expect this however for cost of room as was a little more on the expensive side than others we have stayed in during our 3 week travels in Sumatra.

to me all part of Banda Aceh are great. The place me and my family like to most is Weh Island. I recommend for those who have interest to travel to Banda Aceh, please do not forget to go to Weh Island, such a beautiful beach and we had fun at this island, we managed to do our snorkeling and took nice pictures.

It's a very beautiful place...I got 1 night stay at pulau weh and went to snorkeling...definitely will came again later. I hired Banda aceh tour for our transportation n luck I've them..both of our driver Shah (Banda aceh) & Bob (pulau Weh) are very friendly, panctual and informative.

Probably the only reason to spend one night at Banda Aceh is...
Probably the only reason to spend one night at Banda Aceh is to get the ferry to go to Pulau Weh in case the time of your flight doesn't match with the ferry timetable. If it your case, you may spend some hours visiting the Tsunami Museum and the big ship that was moved 5 kms by the tsunami. Visiting the mosque also is worthy.

Foods are splendid and plentiful and delicious. Those who looks for night life - forget about it. The town and surrounding area is good for retiree and peace loving people.
This is a simple, stylish hotel with modernist inflections, functional, affordable, and yet very cool, with its mix of naturally-finished wood paneling and cement. The room is reasonably-sized, has a desk to write on, lots of cupboard space, a designed bathroom, and has high ceilings. The electrical, wifi, and AC are all great. It is fairly private - depending on the other guests - although the room I had faces a loud street. That same street is probably Banda Aceh's best street for cafes and restaurants, and is absolutely worth exploring.
For most people - incl myself - Banda Aceh is a short stopover to/from the islands. As a place to chill, wait for the next bus or ferry, this is a no-frills, simple, but very comfortable hostel. Clean, good wifi, A/C in the rooms, and proximity to money exchange, and shopping center. What makes this a standout stay was the hospitality and the help received from Ilham at the reception ... very welcoming!!
The Lala Hostel is an exceptionally clean, modern and well run hostel. It is centrally located in Banda Aceh which will give you easy access to all of the local sights. The owner is especially knowledgeable regarding local information that can help you with stay. I found the owner and all the staff friendly and accomodating. I highly reccomend Lala Hostel.
Great place to stay, clean, coffee, hot water, beds with curtains, everything you want in a hostel is here. The staff was super efficient and friendly. They have a scooter for rent that was very convenient for our day in Banda Aceh.
