The hotel has a great location (just in front of the old city, while still accessible with the car), a good structure (although more aligned with a 4 stars, and not really a 5 stars hotel), but a very bad policy regarding the price of services. We were quite upset that, although the parking (in the STREET or in the hotel Patio at open air) was informed to cost EUR 30, as your car was a 9 seat one, they wanted to charge us EUR 75. I would even understand if they asked EUR 40, or even EUR 50 (although it would still take only one slot in the street) but more than the DOUBLE was really unfair and had no sense. After some discussions they agreed to keep it at the original price. Another unpleasant thing was the room service. As we have a young child we decided to ask a simple pasta with tomato sauce for him. There was no child option and that pasta costed EUR 25...really out of the market price... but OK, we needed it. But for our surprise, just written quite small in the menu, there was the information that, they charge EUR 15 to bring it to the room... So, for an ordinary pasta with tomato we would pay EUR 40! If you add some bread, almost EUR 50. Completely no sense and out of market price... For Croatia, for Rome or even NYC. As a result, the restaurant of the hotel was always completely (and sadly) empty and, more importantly, instead of a welcome guests, we were feeling like we were just "wallets" and that any opportunity was good to take some extra money from us. The complet opposite feeling that we had in other five stars hotels we stayed in our trip in Croatia, where, for instance, we had never paid more than EUR 10 for a pasta for our baby, or have even received it for free. And this was not an issue of the personnel (that were very nice and kind, with a special thanks to the lady of the breakfast) but I believe of management... Really a pity.

The property is fine and perfect location, but the rooms are too small no where to open your suitcase apart placing it on the bed. In the room there are very few power points, only power points are for the side lights. I had to unplug the side lights to plug in my cord to recharge my phone. Same problem in the bathroom no power points to recharge my toothbrush.

Stunning Split stands proudly on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, and due to its great climate is called the Mediterranean Flower. It features eclectic architecture, spectacular views and delicious cuisine.
Split is centred around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and boasting limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. It lies in a bay decorated with white sails of yachts, as sailing is definitely Split’s big thing!
The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.
Make sure you visit the Bačvice Beach and the Riva promenade, popular with locals and full of cafés and palm trees. While on the hunt for local specialities, try soparnik - wood-fired dough filled with vegetables - or local soda drinks Pipi and Orela.
So just pack your bags and head to Split Airport! Booking.com has plenty of sunny apartments, friendly guest houses and well-appointed hotels for your Split adventure.
Overall we had a great time in Split. During the day were to many tourists and we took the ferry to some of the island near by and the bus to Trogir and Omis to escape the crowds. The area has a lot to offer, nice restaurants, beaches, historical places, cozy little shops to wonder around.

Interesting historic town. Good boat trips.
Interesting historic town. Good boat trips. Shame the re development of Zngan meant we were living on a building site with no access to beach. Lack of nearby eating places and shops except up a very steep hill. Got familiar with local bus's. May be better staying nearer the centre or having use of a car

Lovely city with lots of history and we felt very safe.
Lovely city with lots of history and we felt very safe. Easy to walk around and definitely worth a visit. The old historical sites and museums are very well-curated and very interesting. Sadly, the old town is very expensive and geared mainly for tourists and cruise ships (unfortunately) with lots of cafes, restaurants and ice cream shops, which means that while you see a lot of great historic locations, you don't get a feel of being in a place where you see how locals typically live. The famous old Spa was recently closed and will probably be turned into yet another hotel, and the old fish market which used to spill out onto the street has been "contained" in a building so that the tourists aren't "affected" by the smell of fish...... which means it's all becoming a bit cosmetic. Prices in the old town are rising fast, even off-peak, (again, due to tourists) so best to shop out of the main centre. The free Split Card (available from any Tourist Office) gives lots of discounts and even free entrance to some museums for 72 hours - a great bonus for visitors to the city.

Came here by catamaran from Dubrovnik.
Came here by catamaran from Dubrovnik. Almost preferred it to Dubrovnik as far more real and mixed. So safe, lots to do and see. Incredibly fascinating history. Go off the tourist bits, better value! Go to Trogir for the day. Go to the really genuine little Konoba by the fishmarket for dinner but you'll need cash.

Split is an amazing Old Town, but also has a huge park area for coastal and forest hiking, and boat trips to the Dalmatian islands. It can get a bit congested due to tour groups, but worth it for the amazing history and outstanding restaurants

This is absolutely perfect accommodation in Split. Zana is a delightful hostess, helpful and caring! The apartment is wonderful, we lacked nothing, balcony with a fantastic view, comfortable beds, tidy, fully equipped kitchen and a fridge carefully filled with what you need after a long journey.
The apartment is a stone's throw from the old town and the port, it is close to everything.
We are so happy with our stay in Split, we couldn't get a better start to our trip in beautiful Croatia!
Thanks Zana!
Warm greetings from Anna and Micke
I booked at the last minute, and the host provided me with enough info to find this cute little place right on the edge of the old town. First floor access was very important for me, and it was an easy ~100 m walk from a parking lot (I had a lot of luggage to bring in, and I drove). Right near a great square that is a bit less touristy than elsewhere in the old town -- I went to Split to watch Croatia in the UEFA League of Nations final, and was not disappointed. Best location for exactly what I went to do!
Our stay in Croatia at the Prima hotel was amazing.
All the staffs were amazing, the location was perfect as it was in the city centre.
I would like to especially thank Maja for helping us so much during our stay. She recommended us a lot of food places to eat and tourist sites to visit. She went above and beyond for us, what a credit she is to your team. Thank you Maja!
Croatia is beautiful place and so are the people.
We love you Croatia!
Right in next to the Caesar's Palace old town area. Hosts were very gracious and spent a lot of time with me providing advise on the rest of my time in Croatia. I arrived at 1 am because of bus problems and the host was there waiting.
Close to centre, everything was 5min away. Nights were quiet. Rooms were clean and light. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast tasty. We are glad that our experience of Croatia started with this hotel.
