Our second Croatian island (the first was Lošinj) and another marvel! We were enthralled by the nature, we loved the diverse beaches, the restaurants and food were great, the locals extremely friendly, and for those wondering about Zrće - yes, it is just as lively and fun as everyone is saying. Pag is truly a well-rounded destination and you can be sure there is something for everyone to discover and fall in love with.

Pag is a beautiful place with a distinctive island atmosphere, hospitable inhabitants and acceptable and varied services. Everyone can find a place according to their requirements, even during two weeks there is still something new to discover and get to know. Beautiful place, we will definitely come back.

Pag is a quiet town for a family holiday.
Pag is a quiet town for a family holiday. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge, which makes trips to other destinations easier. The stony landscapes with its indigenous plants is breathtaking and looks otherworldly.

Pag is an island of many faces.
Pag is an island of many faces. Various beaches, hiking trails, historic town, deserted areas and "night life" options on Zrča beach (not my favourite pastime though). I wish the developments near Novalja would slow down because they are changing the island ireversibly, increasing the pressure on scarce natural resources.
It is famous for its strong wind (bura) on the eastern side, regional hard cheese, olive oil.
Some of my favourite places - hiking trails and beaches near Metajna, olive grows near Lun, the old town of Pag.
To get around you need your own car (or a boat). Accessible from the S (via bridge) or from N and NE (via ferry from the island Rab or from mainland).
I'd avoid driving into the center of Novalja town, especially the undeground garage of the supermarket.
Groceries and restaurants are all around, bigger supermarkets only in the towns of Pag and Novalja.

The island very unique feature an inner sea, where you can find lots of very nice beaches. Here the beautifull sea meets with scenic, rugged mountains, so you can hike&swimm. There are small coves, nices beaches, olive gardens even more a via ferrate at the sea level. Ideal for adventureous people who loves nature.

Pag itself is a small city, but worth a walk.
Pag itself is a small city, but worth a walk. There`s a very nice square with a little but beautiful church. I advise a visit in a cheese shop, "Paska Sirana", 5 Zadarska Street, where you can choose from a variety of Pag`s famous sheep cheeses. A great present or souvenir to enjoy. Another must-do thing is a day cruise round the island (usually 9.00-18.00) You can book a trip in the harbour area, close to the bridge. The cost is 300kn per person and includes breakfast, lunch plus an unlimited amount of wine and Travarica. Great views, stops for swimming and the highlights - the Cave!
I`ll recommend Konoba Dida - good food, nice staff, just remember that they have a break from 3 to 6 in the evening.
Villa Panorama is a great place for vacation. Our stay was even better thank we expected. The house is located next to beautiful mountains and there is a direct way to the beach. The beach is private, clear and the color of water is amazing. In October Pag is calm and quiet, so perfect place to relax. Views on the island are breathtaking, you can go hiking, wandering, kayaking or just stay on the beach all day. The host Irene and her family are super friendly, helpful and warm hearted. They make you feel like home. We strongly recommend it!
The apartment was very cheap, half price of any similar apartments, so we didn't have high expectations. The apartment has sometimes older equipment, but it is still good quality for the money. We really liked the terrace. The location is also good. The parking place is big enough. I liked that the parking place is really close to the door. There is good water pressure in the shower and also the boiler is big enough. The internet connection had good quality. The host was nice and can talk English quite well. We enjoyed our stay here.
What a lovely little apartment!
5 minutes from the town square and bars/restaurants/shops.
The apartment had most of what you needed for a pleasant stay.
The apartment was well maintained and very clean.
The hosts were lovely and very helpful. Vesna made sure we had everything we needed and surprised us one afternoon with a couple of large bbq fish that her husband had cooked for us, delicious!!
The town of Pag is a great place to base yourself to tour the island of Pag. Car a must!
The location is PERFECT, situated right on the sea front, just a few steps away from the beach, shops, restaurants & bars all nearby.
The apartment itself has everything you need. We where lucky enough to have a sea view which we enjoyed daily sat out on our spacious terrace.
Maria our host was AMAZING, so kind, & generous. It was my birthday whilst we stayed here, she baked me a little cake & provided us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
Such a lovely hotel, it was so beautiful and had a great little beach. The staff were so kind and very helpful. We were only there for one night but it was an incredible experience. They upgraded our room for free so we had an amazing view and such a comfy room. The food was delicious and there’s a ton of stuff walking distance if you want something else (including a little bakery right out front). Incredible stay for the price! Highly recommend
Great, quiet location, just a short walk close to the center of Pag. Nice view to the opposite hills. Well equipped, clean apartment with good bathroom, grilling place in the garden and a cozy front-garden shaded by trees.
Amazing host Edina is a beautiful person, always ready to help and make our stay as comfortable as it could be. We've visited their apartment the second time and will return here next time, when going to the same location.
Maria and her husband were so warm and friendly, loved them instantly. The room
was very clean, bed felt like my memory foam mattress at home, slept like a baby. The location was incredible,50 ft across the street was the beach. And just down the street and over the pedestrian bridge was Old Town Pag. There is a nearby bakery and supermarket within 5 mi walk. I really did like staying here and highly recommend.
Really kind hosts (young couple) manage an apartment in their own house, not far away from town center. Spacious, clean and calm flat on first floor is open to terrace oriented south with view over Pag town and Pag bay. One can forget about driving when spending holidays here, everything is accessible by feet - town square, town beach, shops, restaurants, museums.
We really enjoyed our vacation in Pag. The city is very cute, not too big, not too crowded. The landscape is fantastic. Apartment has a quiet location, small beach in the immediate vicinity, large beach 10 minutes walk. City center, promenade, shops, restaurants - all within walking distance. Pleasant contact with the host.
The owners of the apartment were very friendly. Upon arrival, they recommended us what to see on the island and offered us coffee. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The beach is only a minute away from the apartment. Nearby is a small bakery and a very good seafood and meat restaurant (Dida).
It is located at the end of street,so it was very quietly place witch was exacly what we were looking for.
But again its not too far from center of city Pag,so you can go by walk or car.Apartman has two bedrooms, very good and equiped kitchen,bathroom....and of course, everyting is super clean.
Branimir, his wife & his lovely father were so welcoming and made our stay so fun! The Konoba is so charming and we enjoyed a few drinks and conversation.
The town is gorgeous. The rooms were spectacularly clean and the beds were comfortable. And that shower - best we’ve had on our trip!!
Maja is an extremely kind and helpful host. The accommodation is in an excellent location, all necessary shops and places are nearby. An excellent starting point for exploring the island of Pag. I recommend.
For us it was very good location to explore whole Pag Island by car. You can also stay in one place and have within 10 minutes beach, groceries, restaurants, bakeries and city centre.
This has been so far one of the best places I have stayed at. I met the most incredible people while being in contact with nature. The beach of the hotel is magical.
