Nice, friendly staff in all departments. Check-in was quick and I was reminded of a refund due to me that I had forgotten about, and the iron and ironing board I had requested to borrow were already in the room when we arrived - that's brilliant service. Breakfast was a huge selection of hot and cold options - you will not go hungry ! Room was large with a comfortable bed and large sofa. Location is excellent - right on Tsimiski Street with all its shopping; dining options in all directions. Waterfront promenade 2 blocks away as is Aristotle Square. History is everywhere !

We loved the whole experience of staying at Daios. The hotel is in an excellent location and the view from our executive Seaview room was fabulous, we could even see Mount Olympus complete with snow still on top. The way the balcony was gave the impression of being on a cruise ship. The room(502) and bathroom was quite spacious and well thought out. The bed was big and very comfortable. The cute chocolates put in the room each day was a lovely little touch.
The breakfast was great with plenty of choice.
The staff were perfect- friendly and helpful and not over the top with a smooth checking in and checking out process.

For us, Saloniki is the ideal transition day or weekend when we travel from Northern Europe to our final destination further in the south of Greece. Sitting in one of the many outdoor cafés on the Paralia and just watching the hustle & bustle and the beautiful people of Saloniki is a great way to start a holiday. We always visit Public and the shopping malls around it for great deals on brands like Brooks Brothers, GANT and more. Excelsior Hotel is always a treat. Great value for money is found at Maroon Bottle Suites. Getting around the main city on foot is no problem. If you have a rental car it's good to find an underground garage beforehand - can recommend Parking Plateia Vasileos Irakleiou 38.

Thessaloniki, often referred to affectionately as “my...
Thessaloniki, often referred to affectionately as “my village” by its locals, offers a captivating blend of history, culture, and culinary delights. At the heart of its vibrant city life is the Kapani Market, an emblematic and bustling bazaar that seems to transport visitors back in time. Strolling through Kapani, you are engulfed by a fascinating vibe, surrounded by the enticing aromas of fresh produce, spices, and traditional Greek foods. The market pulses with the energy of vendors and shoppers, each contributing to the lively and authentic atmosphere that defines this historic trading spot.
Just a short walk from the market, nestled among the quaint and narrow streets, is Negroponte, arguably the best taverna in Thessaloniki. Known for more than just its exceptional seafood, Negroponte prides itself on homemade bread and a menu that showcases the best of Greek cuisine. Each dish is prepared with care, using locally-sourced ingredients that reflect the culinary richness of the region.
Thessaloniki’s small streets add to its charming and buzzing atmosphere, each turn and corner offering a new sight, sound, or taste. The city’s layout encourages leisurely exploration, with surprises waiting around every corner. Whether it’s a hidden café, a boutique shop, or a street performer, there’s always something to capture your attention and make you feel a deep connection to this vibrant, historical city. Thessaloniki, with its rich past and dynamic present, remains a beloved “village” not just to its residents, but to all who visit.

The room was changed and didn't come with extra double bed.
The room was changed and didn't come with extra double bed. However the host was a lovely guy and took the initiative to accommodate the sofa as if it was a double bed. We did not have wifi for the last 24 hrs
This made it difficult for me to communicate with my family. I had to go to buy a coffee outside for such service.
The rest of things were good. I liked the room, it was big and spacious. As long as I have wifi, I will go again for the same room
Thanks

What a wonderful city.
What a wonderful city. My family and I were only there one night as we were making our way by bus to Istanbul, but from what we say of downtown, it's a beautiful, safe, and vibrant place to visit. We had the most delicious dinner, went for a lovely walk down by the water, and had dessert at a super-fancy bakery somewhere downtown. We also really enjoyed the friendly (and FAT) street dogs!

One of my favorite towns in Greece.
One of my favorite towns in Greece. Recommend the old harbor area for dinner and Valeoritou area for drinks.
People should find a parking spot so to avoid the traffic and the endless drive around looking for a place to park the car. The city center is not so big so everyone can walk on foot.
Truly recommend the small bakeries for breakfast.
We had a pleasant stay at Anessis Hotel. It was not our first time here. Rooms were renovated in the past few years (new bathrooms, etc).
Very good location in the city center, just few minutes walk to Vardaris. Nice breakfast and 2 free parking spots right in front of the hotel. That is a big deal in the center of the city.
Excellent value for money if you're looking for one or two nights stay in Thessaloniki. Very nice and welcoming staff, 24h reception, great job guys!
My husband and I liked this hotel very much. It is located in the heart of Thessaloniki. It is minutes away from Aristotelous Square, the Ladadika area, the bazaar and the waterfront promenade. Our hotel room spacious with beautiful windows and the balcony. Everything was very clean. There is a small elevator. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, offering to help us with anything we needed. We would return to this hotel.
The hotel is walking distance from the city center and nearby there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops. The room was spacious and the air conditioning worked well, which is not always the case. The hotel has a couple of parking spots on the street and we were quite lucky to find free 2 of them. This was very valuable for us, as parking in Thessaloniki can be quite time-consuming.
It was one of the best rooms/hotels we have booked through booking.com. The apartment had everything we wanted and was newly renovated. Location is great, quiet neighbourhood yet close to the city centre. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. We even tried the breakfast for one day of our stays and it was really good, considering the covid circumstances.
It was quite near the centre. And we found parking quite close. Also you can't expect 5 star premises if you re taking your dog. So to be fair it was quite good. Unfortunately we didn't manage to meet the owner but he tried his best to meet us but we were all the time out and about exploring beautiful Thessaloniki.
New luxury apartment at the heart of Thessaloniki and a few meters from Parking Plateia. The 5 star hotel where we usually stay during our short visits was fully booked and this apartment did not feel like a downgrade. There are several great breakfast restaurants nearby to choose from.
My biggest ratting goes to the owner who is generous, friendly and a nice host! Apartment is comfortable, clean, in a quiet street and has everything you need. I know that usually apartments and hotels get the ratings, but this time 5 stars goes to the owner! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The property looks very appealing from the outside! Inside is is also nice, but I wouldn’t give it 5 stars if I was comparing it to some of the 5 star hotels in Australia. The parking was convenient. The breakfast had a good variety.
It was a real 5 star hotel. Amazing service. Clean and very nice looking. Breakfast was excellent with a big variety of choices. Very friendly helpful staff. Great pool area with bar service.
Amazing hotel with great landscape and wide garden. Away from the hustle of the city but close to be in the city.. Enjoyed it much more than other 5 star hotel that is inside the city..
beautiful boutique hotel, 5 star luxury, a must stay if you are planning a visit to this city. lovely staff, very friendly and accommodating. great breakfast, quality excellent.
