Easy to find and no trouble checking in. Nice lady at reception showed us 2 rooms, one at the front of the hotel and one at the back. We opted for the rear room away from the main road. Double glazing kept any other noise out well and the aircon was quiet so a good night sleep was had.
Room a good size, clean, comfortable bed and decent shower room..hooray!
Included breakfast was a bit indifferent but some nice pastries and coffee.

Peaceful and private as located off a small side street. One of several small apartments in a 200 year old Cretan traditional stone and wood building. All apartments seem to have slightly different configurations. Our facilties were all good. The villa is a beautiful stone house converted from an oil factory. The house is very spacious, has air conditioners in every room, fully equipped and comfortable kitchen. The host welcomed us to the property and prepared for us fruits, vegetables, oil, raki and wine to welcome us. I recommend the nearby town of Voroi, the restaurant and cafes on the market square, the meat and cheese store where a nice old lady sells. It is a rural area where you can experience the true spirit of Greece and real people. The southern part of Crete is a place away from the hustle and bustle with beautiful beaches. I recommend Matal and Agia Gallini.

I loved the sights, smells and sounds of this quaint little place called Mires. For a small town, the shopping is amazing... I especially loved the shoe stores!!
The market days on Saturdays are a delight to the senses! Fresh produce from the area are sold in the streets amongst other beautiful things. I loved the social vibe of the market... lovely to see a village in motion!

The best location to stay for sightseeing Asterousia. Excellent food shops (Savoidakis bakery, dairy product shop, coffee/honey/raisins shop), Margareta's taverna with traditional Cretan cuisine, cheap and delicious fruit and vegetables from street markets, Lidl and Halkiadakis are within reach and there are two auto gas stations in the neighbourhood.
