Easy to find and no trouble checking in. Nice lady at reception showed us 2 rooms, one at the front of the hotel and one at the back. We opted for the rear room away from the main road. Double glazing kept any other noise out well and the aircon was quiet so a good night sleep was had.
Room a good size, clean, comfortable bed and decent shower room..hooray!
Included breakfast was a bit indifferent but some nice pastries and coffee.

I loved the sights, smells and sounds of this quaint little place called Mires. For a small town, the shopping is amazing... I especially loved the shoe stores!!
The market days on Saturdays are a delight to the senses! Fresh produce from the area are sold in the streets amongst other beautiful things. I loved the social vibe of the market... lovely to see a village in motion!

The best location to stay for sightseeing Asterousia. Excellent food shops (Savoidakis bakery, dairy product shop, coffee/honey/raisins shop), Margareta's taverna with traditional Cretan cuisine, cheap and delicious fruit and vegetables from street markets, Lidl and Halkiadakis are within reach and there are two auto gas stations in the neighbourhood.
