Unfortunately the room did not meet our expectations we booked a suite which felt quite small a little dark and the bedroom was small. Limited storage no drawers and out balcony was shared access for another room. When I'm paying for the best room I expect a private balcony. As a minimum I have stayed elsewhere in the resort paid less and had 2 balconies. Breakfast was good and varied and cooked to order. All in all the staff made it but it was just a little to small for us.

Everything was perfect. The location, rooms - very comfortable beds, air conditioner, good breakfast and dinner. Location is also good, although the hotel is on the main street, it is like inside the yard, abd it was quite silent at nights. It has its own pool and sunloungers behind the hotel. The staff is separate notice - professionals and very kind. We felt like we are inside big family. It was very warm :) And we will return here soon again already with kids.

Hersonisos had just about everything. A short distance from the nearest airport, services for tourists, a short distance to the mountains and to the local culture. Among the local restaurants, I remembered the atmospheric Rosmary the best, which is located in a small alley between the streets Olos Palme and Agias Paraskevis. For those who are thirsty or without a disco, there is a great one-kilometer-long scenic route from the beach boulevard Kassavetis Center to the Limenas Hersonissou lighthouse.

The only issues we had was the door lock to our room needs to be changed it was a five min ordeal every time we wanted in to the room .
The housekeeping is ok but they often forgot to restock the coffee and minibar and a cpl times towels

April is windy, but pleasant sunshine, no rain at all. The roads have no pavements so be careful, but there is a little train doing a circuit around with a get-on, get off system, which is good. Shops are incredibly reasonable and include some beautifully made table linens, clothes, towels, olive wood products and hand made gifts.

Very pretty small town on the seaside with easy access from shopping streets to its beach. You can find lots of cafes along the beach and it's a free access. The cafes' staff is friendly and helps you even if you do not buy there anything. The souvenirs are cheaper than in Heraklion, i.e. fridge magnets started from EUR1. Whereas in Heraklion it starts from EUR1.5-2, and all clothing and shoes as well. It also has Leather Jackets shops and even Fur & Real Leather Factory Shops, but not on the main street, or Market in Heraklion. The sellers are friendly and happy to bargain.
Good choice of anthric style ceramic vases and crockery for reasonable price. Dresses more expensive than in England.

Great for pubs and bars with people shouting at you that they have a table for you - all good humoured but after a while it got a bit irritating. Is not recommend it if you are looking for a traditional Greek holiday spot - could have been anywhere! Totally recommend if you like bars, clubs and sports on the TV.

I was in one of the older rooms but had no complaints it was spotless and large and the bed was the best I’ve slept in in Crete. The only thing I didn’t like was the dreaded shower curtain but definitely not a dealbreaker.
A lovely selection for breakfast (not too keen on the coffee ) only because I prefer a barista style coffee.
The pool doesn’t get much sun at this time of the year.
Great Location, But Not a Great Stay
Vacationing on Crete has always been on my wishlist, and I chose this hotel to fully experience the beauty of this island. While I did have some enjoyable moments during my stay, I can't overlook some serious shortcomings.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. There are some nearby beaches truly stunning, which is a big plus for those who enjoy spending time by the shore like me.
During my stay at the Porto Plaza Hotel, I was impressed by the room decor, featuring light-colored walls, elegant dark furniture and tiled floors. Every room had its own private balcony and bathroom, providing a comfortable retreat. The on-site restaurant offered a delightful buffet-style breakfast, while the poolside and main bar served refreshing drinks. It was a relaxing and well-catered experience that enhanced my stay.
Eleni was the standout from our entire trip; she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy at all times. The location on the beachfront is brilliant, shop resteraunts and bars all within walking distance as well as local taxi service and excursion centres. We are already looking to book our next stay at OV Suites as we know it is the friendliest hotel in crete. Eleni was amazing.
The perfect place to stay while you are in Crete! Everything is extremely clean and the hotel was newly renovated and everything in the room is new. The owner and the staff are always there to help you, and they are very welcoming and friendly.
The welcoming gift was a really nice surprise from their part.
Highly recommend this hotel. If we come back to Crete, for sure we'll come back here.

If you're looking for a small, peaceful, friendly resort, a short walk to the town, The Nest is ideal. We were there in early May at the start of the season so it wasn't full but I'm sure the service is as good all the time. Claudia and the rest of the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. I'd highly recommend the villa with it's own pool.
Perfect all inclusive for our family. Loved so much never left the resort. Great for families with kids of all ages. Food options were great along with staff. Great family get away on Crete. Rooms were spacious enough and facilities were very modern. Pool is saltwater, but waterpark pools are not. Would definitely recommend.
This was a very nice accommodation for the few days we spent in Northern Crete. Clean room, kind host (minimum interaction with the host, nice little pool, just enough to chill a bit on a hot summer day). Close to the beach and basically near many of the restaurants in the center of the town. Beautiful sunset on the nearby beach.
Hotel is a big complex. It has pools all around and a nice water park. The private beach is great. All have an all inclusive bar available.

The owner was very helpful, friendly and stayed up very late when we arrived initially due to delays. The apartment was fell equipped and spacious. The apartments are well located wrt close to the beach and town with a great view!
