We liked the care they gave us when we came to check in late by telling us to go eat first because it was closing. Food was great, great room, nice garden, the outside restaurant was amazing, only 5 steps from the sea.

Promenade wonderful, bars & restaurants either side offering lovely meals. Quieter at the East end, livelier at West End. Really fun place.
Only complaint was that some bars played really loud clubbing type music, not impressed when you want to sit & chat.

What we didn't know before we booked a hotel in this area is that there were either a lot of young people partying or older people who have been coming for years. If you are in your 30s searching for somthing authentic greek, something tranquil, great food and beautiful secluded beaches, i would go somewhere else on Crete.

hersonisous is a beach vacation village. it is a place that got stock in the past. everything bery basic and very simple. the greek...especially the cretan attitude maked time slow down. it is somewhat a romantic place...there are now dark underground clubs and drug scene....but more open air beach dance bar and dance music. . alll ages fit in...you see plenty of 20s running around drunk at night.... and familieswith kids and mature people during the day and eve

Great, was quite busy in places, but the area was beautiful and the atmosphere was good. The locals and staff were all very friendly and helpful, made you feel at home.
There were lots of different things and activities to do. You could choose to have a quiet relaxing holiday, or a busy and party holiday. As there were a mixture of quiet or busy areas. Plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, cafes. Absolutely loads to choose from. You would never be bored.
It’s so beautifully designed with stunning views of the island and the sea. You can see how much effort has gone into creating a sense of calm for the guests. The staff are warm, friendly and super helpful. The hotel is family friendly and all the outdoor pools are heated which rarely happens in Crete. The food is truly Mediterranean and thoughtfully made. The desserts were awesome and were like works of art. It felt like eating out when we had dinner there.
The standout out for me was the staff, the service was 10/10. The manager Aleka sorted out any issues we had and the facilities were great. The rooms were extremely comfortable and everyone was very helpful. Every time we got a cab, the driver would comment on how aesthetically pleasing the hotel was. I believe it was one of the best in Crete especially in Heraklion. The rooftop gym was my favourite and the beds were extremely comfortable. Really recommend!

The whole property is charming and aesthetic. You can definitely feel the Crete vibe. It’s not one of those big soulless places. It’s one of the better hotels we ever stayed at. We felt cared for and welcomed by the staff. Would love to come back!
