We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Kala Nera, such a beautiful peaceful location in the countryside yet only a short stroll to the beach where there are many restaurants and cafes to choose from.
Our room on the first floor was spacious with a lovely sized balcony which overlooked the pretty gardens. We particularly enjoyed watching the European bee eaters flying around in the early evening.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the cheese pies and homemade jams were a treat.
We managed to see many of the nearby places by local bus and hiked to the nearby mountain village.
Ainareti is a great base for exploring Pelion and the owners are so lovely and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a very relaxing stay.

Everything was perfect! The room was very clean every day we were there! It was 3 minutes away by feet from the beach and the owner was so smiley and welcoming us asking every day if we need something more! It has a very beautiful garden that you can spend your evening and the place around was very quiet! The market where you can buy breakfast is 2 minutes by feet and the big fridge of the room was a good benefit to save your food for many days! When the temperature in Athens was 44-45 degrees, at the property’s garden we had 35 the most! Fresh air and beautiful environment! The only negative thing is that Vodafone doesn’t have any signal there and we needed to use the wifi of the property for our calls! I would absolutely suggest to our friends to stay and we would probably come back again!

Despite not being not that far from Volos, Kala Nera still...
Despite not being not that far from Volos, Kala Nera still maintained a small seaside village feel. The beach had lovely clean water for swimming. Cafes/restaurants were good. On the whole it was very quiet, at night there was little to disturb you.

Kala Nera is a beautiful village.
Kala Nera is a beautiful village. It has a very wide central road with many trees so you can take a walk even during the day. Many hotels and rooms to rent. Many restaurants and shops, mini market and pharmacy. It has a nice organized beach. There are other beaches nearby 10-15 minutes by car. The restaurants offer tsipouro or ouzo with meze (small plates) which means you order the ouzo or tsipouro and they also bring you small plates food no extra charge!! The food in general is cheap. Peaceful and relaxing holidays.

Nice place to visit, especially for families. The sea is always calm, the restaurants serve in general tasty food, reasonably priced. It can serve as a base for visiting other sites nearby (villages, beaches etc)

we fell in love with the simple way of life. the sea mountains trees . not crowded . the food was fresh and tasty.the prices were low. kala nera panorama is located very close to kala nera . the owners are nice and gave as good tips when were asked.
Platanofylla is an oasis of trees and tranquility!
Ever since we walked in we felt like in paradise: the apartment is surrounded by trees and flowers, in the morning you can hear the birds singing, it looks like a retreat.
You have direct access to the beach as it is located right by the sea and it's also very close to all tavernas and supermarkets.
We enjoyed every minute here, we cannot wait to return here.

Some parts of the hotel are renovated, but our room had a very small and inconvenient bathroom, with a shower curtain that always touched you, which was not a pleasant feeling...
The small balcony was facing a pretty ugly side. I guess my report would be different if we got a room facing the sea.
If i were the owner, I would invest in a reasonable bathroom.
We loved our stay in this hotel and would come back again. It is close to the beach and restaurants, it is well equipped, has a common kitchen and a beautiful communal garden/ patio (we loved the gardenia), and its owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is great but can be a bit noisy at night with the windows open as it is on the main road. The room was clean and comfortable, and we didn't mind the small bathroom.
Wonderful little paradise with private beach. Nice guests and nice common areas to have a chat. Sometimes the owners/staff might invite you to dinner. Swimming and hiking is possible in Kala Nera. Best tavern in town is next door.
The host is amazing! Everything we need was delivered immediately. In the front of the house we had 3 horses, the nature around us amazing. Walk-in distance from the beach and supermarket! The washing machine was very useful!

Perfect location, lovely staff, we enjoyed every moment in the village. There are excellent taverns right next to the apartment, mini markets, a lovely and pleasant beach for bathing. The room was spacious and clean.
