The view from the restaurant and pool area was superb. The breakfast was nice, has a lot of options and more than enough for you to start your day. The parking area at the hotel for us was plenty, though it was not paved but I didn't have a problem with that.
The hotel located only a couple of minutes walk down to a very nice and quiet beach (at least in June) where you can rent beach chairs and umbrella for just 15e. There is one great taverna just out of the beach (and hotel). Bonus attraction is an olive oil farm that is only a few hundred of meters away. The hotel itself situated on the outer side of the center which is nice and relaxed. You will only need to drive like 2-3 km to the center, plenty of paid parking spots available.
An adult only hotel, featuring two outdoor infinity pools, NIKO Seaside Resort MGallery is situated in the town of Agios Nikolaos in Crete.

People of Creta are famous by their hoispitality.
People of Creta are famous by their hoispitality. This is also my experience. I've found quite a lot nervous and impatient local people in Agios Nikolaos (who seemed to be annoyed by tourists), much more than in any other place on Crete by now (it is my 5th visit of Crete). Not all are like this, of course.
Agios Nikolaos in a very nice city otherwise. But, for me it was not a pure pleasure, and I've realized I'm very happy actually when back in our appartment a few kilometers out of Agios Nikolaos (didn't happen to me even in Heraklion or Chania!). It was just sooo relaxing... ;-)

Lovely litte city.
Lovely litte city. Visited in May; understandably the high season will be crowded and overly hot weather.
Usually excellent food, but also worth to try restaurants off the most busy city centre.
By car also worth to explore pebble beaches outside the town which are not crowded at all.

This is a lovely part of Crete, a bit off the beaten path,...
This is a lovely part of Crete, a bit off the beaten path, so it is not marred by the worst aspects of mass tourism, but still affords every convenience for the discerning traveller. The town of Agios Nikolaus is very nice to explore, stretching out over numerous areas including a colorful and lively pedestrian center, long seaside walks in various directions, and lots of shopping streets with bars and restaurants galore. Its unique geographical features mean that you can enjoy, in the center of town, stunning hilltop as well as lakeside and seaside views. As for excursions, Spinalonga Island is a must, along with an afternoon or evening in the nearby village of Kritsa (accessible by bus). There are lots of other places to visit, too, such as Sitia, if you have a car.

A must see. Local People were very friendly.
A must see. Local People were very friendly.
I will definitely rent a car. You can't compare the difference between the rent (Feul included)cost to Taxi fees.
Taxi fee from Heraklion to Agios Nicolaos 85 euro ( one way) With 170 Euro, you can Rent a car for many days ( 20Euro per day ) off cours + fuel.
Taxis are just out off line in Greece ( My opinion )
Victoria Hotel is a traditional Greek family run hotel. The room we had was immaculately clean. The room had just been refitted and had a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. The balcony although quite small had an absolutely stunning sea view. The owners of the hotel were always smiling and cheerful and were happy to help with anything we asked. The location of the hotel was perfect for the town and the beach. I really cannot say enough about how lovely this hotel is, and how it enhanced our holiday in Crete.
The apartment was simple but perfectly serviceable for what we wanted.
It was very cold when we arrived in Crete but there were slippers and a heater provided so we were cosy and warm.
The water was hot, the towels were clean, the bed was comfy if a little short for my very tall husband :-)
The standard of cleaning was really excellent.
Location and views were lovely. Even in February there were restaurants within easy walking distance.
Location is truly fantastic. The reviews did not lie. Beach is down a staircase, taverns and city life booming right around a corner - and yet, you can still enjoy peace and quiet within the hotel. The host is as friendly as it goes, the room and the hotel are clean and even the cheapest room looks taken care off. Towels and sheets are clean and neat. There is hot water and fresh soap (yes, there are hotels nearby where this is not so)
The apartment is quite spacious and on a quiet street. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Unlike nearly every other hotel room or apartment we have rented, this apartment had a sittable easy chair and couch. The location is terrific: close to the Archeological Museum, a terrific restaurant with a wonderful vista (Gioma Meze), among other things. The apartment would be a comfortable home for several days.
Property is newly renovated and at very nice location with wonderful sea view. It is outside Agios Nikolaos town, and you need to have a car ... but you anyhow should have car because Crete island is wonderful place to visit and to see. Dimitris (professor of Physics!) is perfect host. One morning we got up eartly to watch sunrise. It was beautiful. But all other hotel guests were awake watching it... :-)
Fantastic boutique hotel at a fantastic location ! The staff is wonderful and do everything to make you feel comfortable. Great breakfast a la carte with a amazing view. They also got a nice dinner menu for 38€ with 3 courses. We had the standard room Seforis with a big private terrace and jacuzzi. Don't hesitate this the place to be in Agios Nikolaos. The centre is just 5 minutes away with the car.
The view from the hotel is breathtaking! The location is fabulous, and it gives access to many beaches and villages nearby, if one has a car. Relaxing by the hotel swimming pool sipping a drink is definitely a must! The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing information on things to do locally and also where to park at Agios Nikolaos. Breakwast was quite good, with lots of choices.
Amazing views and located right next to the lake! What else could we ask for?! The location is amazing! My husband and I appreciated being near restaurants, shopping and beaches. The owner was extremelely kind, attentive and responsive. We also appreciated the restaurant the hotel had a partnership with to offer breakfast at a discount. The breakfast was amazing!
Beautiful views from the balcony , wonderful warm people eager to do anything for you . So very peaceful and probably the best snorkeling in Crete straight off the private jetty. Great salt water swimming pool and huge surrounding sun terrace. We ate there 3 out of the 5 nights and enjoying every meal. Thanks Manolis and Vasilis we had a fab stay . Poly Kala .
We loved this hotel!. So much effort, imagination and detail reflects the age of this beautiful building whilst still providing all personal and modern needs. From the grand entrance, to the room decor and lighting, plus the changing views from the balcony both day and night, this was our favourite hotel having travelled throughout fascinating Crete.
The location was perfect, an easy walk to everything. We loved the overall look of the apartment, even better than the photos. Also we forgot some clothes when we left, and they very kindly posted them on to us at another address in Crete, above and beyond. Highly recommend this property!
The staff were very kind and welcoming, helpful with what we needed. The room was clean and private. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The beds are ok as for comfort but you expect that in a budget hotel. All in all a great place. Would come again
This place is amazing 🤩 I highly recommend it to everyone. It has everything you need. MOD 15 City Center is the best place to stay while in Agios Nikolaos. I wish I had stayed there longer. Best regards from Bulgaria!
The location of this property is amazing. It really was the best place we stayed on Crete. The views of Mirabella bay are stunning and you have access to the beach directly at the end of the garden. A gem of a find!
It is the best location in Agios Nikolaos!
Antonis is a very good host, welcoming and helpful.
There was no breakfast but host provided us with water, fruits and coffee.
Amazing sea view, quiet location between Agios Nikolaos and Elouda both very nice to visit and go to restaurants. If you have a car to move around this place is great!
The delicious odours from the hotel below and the stunning view. The apartment also enjoys good sound proofing. This was our best accommodation on our tour of Crete.
We loved the location of this hotel! The balcony was fabulous and the daily breakfast was a nice bonus. It was really relaxing and a must-stay in Crete.
