Set amidst the rolling vineyards of Telavi , Chateau Tetri Bairagebi White Flags is designed in the traditional stone & brick castle style.
We stayed in the spacious Privilege room - it had a 2 seater plush sofa , centre table , peg tables & a cabinet with drawers.
The small ensuite bathroom is bidet fitted & has limited space for placing toiletries.
The USP of white flags is the warm hospitality of the family who owes & runs it - Nino & Yanna tend to your needs like smiling genies.
This boutique hotel has a small pool, a garden with few rows of grape shrubs laid out like a vineyard & ample walking space.
The meals are really yummy & wholesome.
We were looked after like royalty - we wanted to visit Telavi ( about 10 kms ahead ) + Tsinandali estate ( about 6 kms towards the opposite direction) & since cabs are not easily available, the owner Giorgi took us in his private car for a very reasonable amount.
We feel that staying at white flags is a great Opportunity to meet & interact with Georgian families. Since this place is located at an isolated rural area, evenings were well spent in swapping stories & much laughter over wines from their private Mirani.
We would recommend White Flags as a great overnight stopover on way to Kazbegi from Tbilisi; it’s a totally different experience from busy Tbilisi-
we spent two nights there & just loved it.
For day travellers visiting Telavi, you can call ahead at White Flags & enjoy a relaxed swim & great meals in a true blue vineyard atmosphere.

5 stars are not enough to rate our amazing experience at Khutsishvili brothers' guesthouse.
The room was clean and spacious, the home made food was the best we tasted in Georgia, the wines were excellent. But most of all is the heart-warming hospitality that we we'll never forget. We really had a very good time here.

Very quiet, nice backpacker-style crowd in the hotel. The garden seems very nice (but we did not use it - it was just a stopover for us). Very kind owner who greeted us with wine, but did not speak English so it was all a bit awkward. Easy to park.

Absolutely stunning room. Big and very comfy bed, tv with netflix. Balcony with view to the vines and mountains. The breakfast had wide variety of cheeses and a lot of food. It was very tasty. We really enjoyed the quite, pool and ping pong.
