Handcrafted Hospitality with world-class service at Lopota Lake Resort & Spa. The Resort is located in the heart of Kakheti region. This was in my opinion the most beautiful hotel I have been in. They do have great deals on some days though and we were lucky enough to book one of those nights. It was my birthday and they sent a special note and a cake, great detail :-) the area is simply stunning, lots of pools, restaurants. We only stayed one night and could have spent more just on the hotel premises. For a longer stay you might want to have a car. We felt like we could have been near a lake in Switzerland or just anywhere. Great activities, though we did not manage to try all.

We've been to almost every high end hotel in Georgia's regions, this definitely stands in our top 3 list. The staff is very welcoming, Levan is very friendly, welcoming and he makes you feel at home. He's also a chef and the food made by him is VERY tasty. The view from our room was breathtaking. We will definitely visit again.

This was a fantastic hotel in Telavi. We spent three nights and could have spent longer! The room was clean and very comfortable. The hotel pool and veranda were lovely. But the staff was what really made the hotel, they were so kind and helpful. They helped us book many day trips on the region and we’re always eager to help. The views coming down the stairs and from the veranda are pretty stunning as well.

I merely wrote comments on bookings or other travel agents but Marani ELizbar was an exception. It was absolutely the HIGHLIGHT of my vacation in Georgia! It’s got everything we’d expect for a “local” experience while super cozy and pleasant. I only stayed here for one night as my flight going back home was the next day, otherwise I really would like to stay for more nights there. A huge thank you to Leon (the host) and the neighbor there! I was walking around the Marani the morning I woke up and happened to see neighbor are killing a pig for barbecue as it was new year time. Leon and the neighbor invited me to the barbecue and shared with me the amber wine their family made. While they drank, they toasted to the land Georgia, to mothers and to families. It was a moving scene for me.. Also they were super friendly to us.. Besides the memorable morning, the Marani itself was incredibly well-decorated with exquisite taste as can tell from the pictures but I’m sure you have to experience it in person. Cleanliness 10/10. Breakfast was great. We drove so location was not really important to us but several famous winery are just around. Convenient enough for anyone looking for a winery tour. I would definitely come back here when I visited Georgia again.

Very good small town with great nature. There are 2 lakes with squares, between of mountains, all in green. You can rent bicycle and go to ride by the lake rode. In center of town is the Castle of Kvareli. In town and near from there is many historical places and main of them is IVth century Nekresi Church and Monastery complex. Also, there are many wineries and vineyards. Kvareli is the place of birth XIX-XX centuries famous Georgian historical person, writer, public figure, politician and publisher Ilia Cavchavadze, named Saint Ilia the Righteous. In center of Kvareli is the home-museum of Ilia Chavchavadze. Kvareli is the perfect place to trip and one of the best place in Kakheti region.
For a regional capital, Telavi is a beautiful town, with clean air and a great view of the mountainous horizon. Honestly, there is not a lot of it to see. You can lazily cover the important attractions in a single day, with time for dinner. Personally, apart from the old town, I wouldn't miss the bazaar, essentially a farmer's market with great local produce including good allucha, "guda" sheep's cheese and chorchkhela. It functions best as a base of operations, from which you can make excursions around the Kakheti region. It takes about an hour and a half to get to Signagi or to Lagodekhi, and much less than that to get to old churches and monasteries like Alaverdi, Gremi, Nekrasi and David Gareja, or to the major vineyards and the lakes.

Overall excellent Hotel with nice facilities! Had relaxing stay with family and enjoyed it a lot. Hotel has gorgeous view of the Kvareli Lake and mountains. Pool is located a little bit away from the hotel but it has very nice view. Rooms are very clean. Overall very convenient for families. My daughter enjoyed cycling around the lake. Staff is very kind and helpful. Food is also nice but seemed a little bit overpriced compared to other hotels in Georgia. Recommend it for anybody who plan to visit Kakheti region of Georgia. Its only ~2 hour dive from Tbilisi.

Sighnaghi is a beautiful town in Kakheti, so calm and peaceful. Travelling there in spring when everything blooms and blossoms, everything is green, is amazing! People there are welcoming, food and wine is super, views are breathtaking - it's a wonderful idea for a couple trip.
Beautiful town in the heart of Kakheti region. The town is famous for the whole which is surrounding the whole place, which is the second longest wall after the Great Wall of China. If you will come here, you must taste the incredible wines produced in this region specially Tsmindali, Kindzmarauli and Saperavi. Winery tours and to the David Gareja Monastery are organised by almost any guesthouse in town.
There is a very nice market in the center, but we liked the one that takes place indoors even more (it is very near the restaurant Nikala). It was very charismaric and had nice food and locally produced wine, cognac and chacha in plastic bottles. The walk on the town wall is also nice (the beginning is quite hard to find, it starts between houses), though i reccomend doing that when it's not too hot. There is an incredible view from the towers and th wall!! To eat, I recommend pheasant's tears winery, which is a bit more expensive but absolutely delicious, and Nikala, which is cheaper and still good. If able-bodied, it is very easy to reach everything by foot, the town is small. The roads are steep though. The locals are incredibly friendly. I recommend tasting local whine and churkhela,the sweets that look like candles, which are from kakheti, this region. They are very good! I also recommend going to the museum.
Telavi is a great cute place and really close to many tourist attractions in Kakheti. Overall, wish we staying in Kutaisi more, but there are many good rooftop restaurants showing the views of Telavi.
It’s a perfect place, if you want to feel like home, but also enjoy the privacy of a hotel. The owners make sure you have everything you need (including delicious meals) and help you arrange trips, but they leave you as much privacy as you like. The location is great to visit nearby wineries and beautiful town Telavi. It’s wonderful to swim in the pool after a long day exploring Kakheti region. The architecture is very unique and makes you travel in time, although it’s a farely new estate. Thank you for having us!

Eniseli
Great location for exploring Kakheti. Lianna and her husband have been running the property for about a year and go out of their way to help guests feel welcome. They speak fluent Georgian and Russian and know a bit of English, but we used google translate on our phones to break through the language barrier. The place is very relaxed and we loved being able to use the kitchen and especially the pool. The dog and kitten were great for our daughter to play with. Overall a very satisfying stay 😁
Sighnaghi
Nato was very helpful and exceptionally hospitable. She stayed in touch with us throughout our 3 day stay in Kakheti and made sure we had everything we needed and felt welcome. The guest house is clean, equipped with all the needed facilities and has a terrace with tables, chairs, sofas and an amazing view, which is perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. I definitely recommend this guest house to anyone staying in Sighnaghi, best host we've had in Georgia so far.
This is the best hotel in Kakheti and one of the best in the world as far as I may judge, and I am a professional tourguide. High quality design Amazing landscape and view over Alazan valley Helpfull staff, all speak English. Mari, the manager, is an angel. Rooms are spacious with nice balconies. Great restaurant. Fantastic breakfasts with chacha. Swimming pool. Flowers, gardens, secret shelters for couples, hammocks, verandas, terraces. I would have spent a week there.

It's a beautiful Villa with a nice garden. From outside looks not as a Villa. The host is a very nice man. For welcome I got a good homemade kakheti wine. The rooms are big and clean. The communication is with his daughter possible. She is speaking german very well and english. He is only speaking georgian and russian. I am German, was alone on tour in Georgia. I am retired. Only 5 minutes to walk in the center of Telawi. I can recommend this guesthouse.
Napareuli
Great location for exploring Kakhetian qvevri wines. Comfortable guesthouse wine exceptional hospitality. The owners are a lovely family who provide excellent wines, food, and rooms. Their wines all come from the vines on the property or nearby, and they are made in the traditional qvevri method. The owners speak excellent English (and also Polish!). We are thankful to have met such nice, worldly, hosts with very sweet children.
Sighnaghi
Breakfast was very good with very generous portions. The hosts were kind and welcoming. We were given complimentary wine and coffee to the point where we almost felt embarrassed. Incidentally, the wine is homemade by the host and bloody delicious (you should really try the rich Georgian homemade wine culture especially here in Kakheti). Everything was comfortable enough. The views were good. Location is easy to find.
Fantastic Place to stay in the Kakheti Vineyards region. In fact, the hotel is so good that you don't feel like going out to Telavi or to any other vineyard. Can't expect anything more from a hotel. The Tsinandali Estate is a historical, not to be missed vineyard on any tour to Kakheti and to stay in such a wonderful hotel located within the estate is a dream. The staff are great and the food was also amazing.
Telavi
This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay while you visit the Kakheti region if you want to experience true Georgian hospitality. The hosts are amazing and took such good care of us. We went on an incredible tour and had the best few days we could have had. I would give it a higher rating if I could. It exceeded all expectations and I cannot recommend it enough. I truly hope to make it back one day.
Gurjaani
It more feels that you are at your friends house, rather than in hotel. It's very clean, beds are comfortable. The mountains view is great. There is only a 6 rooms and the host is preparing breakfast for you. All in all it's good for the price if you just want to stay for sleep. This is not a resorts in like others in Kakheti with pools, spas and restaurants, but thy will const few times more.
Cozy little guesthouse with extraordinary views! 5-7 minutes drive from touristic Signahi to the peace and quiet of a pastoral Kakhetian village. Excellent rustic breakfast, super friendly staff and nice room made our one night stand so special. Can’t wait to go back! Don’t miss a chance to take a short walk to Bodbe monastery right from the hotel. And make sure to book a table at Pheasant’s tears.
Super nice, clean and comfortable hotel; but most importantly, it is a budget-friendly place. If you want to go to a 5 star hotel in Telavi/ Kakheti, you would need to pay 10 times more. But if you want a good value for money plus comfortable rooms, clean swimming pool and locally produced BIO wine, I recommend this place without any reservations! And mountain view? It is really something

Unfailing hospitality and more food than any human can be expected to eat. Super convenient since everything was arranged by the guesthouse, from our drive from Tbilisi to our sightseeing in the Kakheti region. This is a unique experience for travelers looking to get a sense of Georgian life thanks to the hospitality of the owners. And it's a great value.
Great mix of winery and hotel…nice tour and generous tasting by the owner (excellent english), picturesque estate, generous buffet breakfast, modern rooms with great views, swimming pool, well maintained hotel, restaurant on property with tasty espresso! location is central in Kakheti wine is delicious (winemaker is one of the best in Georgia)

One of the best places I have stayed. Very comfortable environment, clean rooms, hospitable host, best wine and delicious breakfast. A very lovely yard that makes you feel like you are in your own village and a terrace where you can enjoy wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. A good place to experience Georgia and Kakheti
The location is great, possibly the best feature of the hotel together with staff professionalism and friendliness. Standard double room size is good, bathroom also is spacy and comfortable. The closet has an iron and a safe box. Overall, really good and decent hotel to stay for a few days if you are in the Kakheti region.
Telavi
The host is very kind, the accomodation is cheap and you can get very tasty vegetarian dinner. You can also have some Kakheti wine here, which was really nice. From this area you can easily reach beautiful road Pshaveli - Omalo on the way to Tusheti - one of the most beautiful locations in Georgia!
