Batumi is not a city - it's an attraction.
Batumi is not a city - it's an attraction. Everything is made for tourists and for wow-effect. People, free from soviet architectural principles and with new found money let their imaginations run wild and it resulted in a sort of perverted Disneyland, with funky buildings, tons of services and overall feeling of a funfair. It is a great experience to be here, but only once, while wow-effect still works.
As for what's near Batumi - to the south are some exceptionally beautiful mountains, and to the north - great small towns for beach leisure. Also make sure to visit the Botanical Garden.

Very bad service! Reluctant to provide service, they even lied to us twice, we took 2 rooms, they changed rooms for us in the middle of the holiday against our will, and said they would give us time to move things and in the end they wanted us to leave the room and wait two hours outside with luggage until we received the changed room, beware of them, (especially from ANA floor 4 block A ). You can get other good tenants in the same building. We moved to another landlord because of their bad attitude
Everything was great. The owners are two amazing people, the room was spotless, all the amenities you could need, a mini fridge, lots of water, tea and coffee. The breakfast was tasty and they even gave me a small food package because i left very early the second day and missed the breakfast.
Everything decorated in a modern style and with good taste.
Also, it is a short walk, like 2-3 blocks, to the restaurants and coffee shops and maybe 10 minutes to the beach.
This will be my go to hotel whenever I'll be back in Batumi.
The hotel located near the Batumi botanical garden. It is quite far away from the busy city center and exactly that is why we liked it so much. The beach with small restaurants are 7-10 min walk. You can easily get to the city center by bus. The guy at the reception and the hotel manager are super friendly, nice and helpful. Our apartment was very cute and clean with modern kitchen were you will find almost everything you need. One can order breakfast or enjoy some drinks in the hotel lobby bar in the evening.
First of all you should to choose what is Batumi for you. If its new building with stainless and glass and hi-view... Its not your place.
It's a real historical soul place in the heart of the city. On the small street wich cant containt even car. But 3 min to the all city sight by walk.

Seagull Beachfront Hotel Batumi exceeded my expectations. The hotel is brand new and the breakfasts are exquisite. The staff at the reception and in the dining area were incredibly hospitable and professional. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Batumi. Although slightly removed from the city center, Seagull Beachfront Hotel Batumi is easily accessible with a short 15-minute taxi ride. Moreover, its proximity to the airport, just a 5-minute drive away, adds to its convenience.

The apartment is clean, located at the first line to the beach, its corner location has excellent sea and park view, well, you'll also see a construction nearby but constructions are everywhere in Batumi, this one did not produce any noise. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was a short walk to the beachfront and to the main bus line #10 serving the airport and Old Town. The room was comfortable and clean and my 8th floor balcony had a view of the Black Sea. Breakfast was delicious and there was a wide selection of hot dishes, cheeses, sides, and baked goods.
