Beautiful building, downside which sounds awful but no TV in room
And we were fine but for those who are less sociable, you feel forced to sit and eat/drink with other guests
The host was an amazing lady, very friendly and attentive, just an outstanding place to visit, definitely worth the money
Stunning views!
Would highly recommend:-) x

Wiveliscombe is a delightful historic village with a supermarket, two pubs, post office, delicatessen, gift shops, a chocolate shop and a great café. Both pubs serve good food.
We were there to walk the West Dean Way which winds 70km through the Somerset country side. We used the local bus service to get to and from the start and finish points on our walk. This worked well for us and meant we didn't have to worry about a car.

Wiveliscombe Is a small town but very typical of the location close to Taunton where there are plenty of shops or if you prefer close enoughto reach the coast with Minehead a short journey away. Plernty of food outlets Co-op, The wivy Larder Deli full of choice beers and chutneys etc and some good cafe's. and excellent pubs, The Bear, The White Hart so no excuse for getting bad food or drink in this town

Orchard House Studio is a beautiful, tastefully decorated and furnished apartment adjoining the main house. Everything had been thought of, and the provision of sufficient food (including real coffee) for 2 breakfasts made the stay even more relaxing.
Money is hard earned and I am a Yorkshire woman so my number one criteria when booking a stay is the price. The White Hart at Wiveliscombe was reasonably priced and my very comfortable, enjoyable stay definitely deserves the top rating for each of the six questions. My expectations were exceeded and I highly recommend The White Hart in many ways the heart of Wiveliscombe. Please note that Wiveliscombe, Somerset is well worth a visit. I look forward to visiting again.
The staff at the White Hart were really accommodating, friendly, charming, and helpful. They found us taxi numbers and let us book taxis using their phone (as the signal is a bit patchy in Wiveliscombe). Our rooms were a good size, very clean and very comfortable and we weren’t bustled out of the doors super-early on the morning of leaving or anything. There is a good car park and everything worked well for us - we had a very good stay.
We have family in Wiveliscombe so stay at the White Hart regularly. I understand that it is now under new management and it has definitely improved as a result. The public areas have been redecorated & now look much fresher. Our room was compact, but a reasonable size, and whilst the decor is ready for an update, the bed was really comfy and the shower was good. Offering breakfast (continental) is also a great improvement.
Lovely traditional hotel in the centre of the lovely town of Wiveliscombe. Excellent, quality food. I was sorry I did not have more time to work through the menu!. Very professional and friendly owners and staff, committed to good customer service. Very good value for money.
Great service and really pleasant staff.
Comfortable quiet room with a lovely bath.
Arrived on Burger night in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meals and a bottle of Pinot to wash it down.
Totally enjoyed our stay, thanks White Hart Hotel👏👏👏
We didn’t have breakfast, they weren’t doing breakfasts when we stayed. We got lost in hotel when we first arrived but by third day we knew our way arrround
Nice hotel in a great location. The hotel staff were lovely and welcoming, and helpful. Tried a hawk stone beer which was very nice. Very comfortable bed.
