Clean and tidy. It had everything I needed to be comfortable

We selected the 3 Horseshoes primarily as it is close to Bletchley and had safe, off-road parking. Our room was quiet and had an outside separate door from the main bar. The village, Drayton Parslow, is lovely and rural, the pub seemed to attract a good local clientele. Our room served our purposes but was a little dated although the twin beds were comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. We were offered a cooked breakfast which was good. The evening meal again was good but there were limited options.

The weekend we were there coincided with the farmers market on the Sunday, which was lovely to experience.
We visited Hogshaw Farm locally, and then went onto The Canal Museum, Stoke Bruerne and had a canal ride and ice-cream, visiting NT Stowe gardens the next day.

Our host, Jeff, was very helpful, friendly and made us feel part of his family. Lovely local food - a home full of friendship, flowers and joy.
Thank you Jeff for making our stay in Winslow so special.
We visited Ascott, Claydon, Stowe and Waddesdon NT places of fame and beautiful gardens.
An evening bell ringing with the local band was very enjoyable.

We only drove through Winslow itself on our journey, but it looked like a lovely place, and another time we would love to stop and explore. There seemed to be plenty of pubs where we coukd get a meal out if needed but we were attending Towersey festival so we were able to buy meals on the site anyway.

Pubs were lovely with great food & drink.
We thought there's no way our parents could have stayed at the bell due to poor health and age as far too many uneven floors and too man stairs plus too many nooks and crannys to get to the rooms. Great location for Silverstone and Buckingham

Had a lovely Indian meal - 3 minutes walk away in the square.
Didn't have time to look around in daylight unfortunately as we were visiting Bletchley Park.

Small town which merits an hour or so of walking.
Small town which merits an hour or so of walking. Market square with good antiques shop. Seventeenth Century Baptist Chapel is remarkable for its beauty and preservation. Recommend The Bell for accommodation.
Staff reacted promptly to our concerns about our room which was very cramped and unsuitable for two people. We were moved immediately to a much better room which suited our needs satisfactorily. Staff proved friendly and helpful at all times and for example, immediately rectified the absence of a hair drier in our room. The dining menu was comprehensive with some excellent home made pies for which The Bell has previously won awards.
The cottage is beautiful and filled with period features, both bedrooms were tastefully decorated, each with their own bathrooms. We had access to most of the house, including the pretty walled garden. Geoff was a lovely host and we were made really welcome. The location of the property was perfect too, right in the centre of Winslow but still very peaceful. Our puppy was also made very welcome.
Although the English breakfast was good it isn’t kept hot unfortunately. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and had a similar experience last time. Feel this problem needs to be addressed. Fried eggs are available on request.
The evening meal was excellent and in comparison very hot. Very good choice and reasonable priced as was our bottle of white wine!
Hosts Ian and Rosie very welcoming and friendly, not forgetting Dolly the little dog .
Lovely location, room very clean with everything you need . Microwave, kettle , fridge, hairdryer, toiletries ect .Seating area outside for guests , beautiful stars on a clear night .
Also secure parking for motorbikes.
This was our forth stay and will be going back .
Jeff was a lovely host and Ruth, who checked us in, was great too.
The house is very cosy and welcoming. It's right in the centre of Winslow, so handy for the local shops and restaurants.
The facilities in our room were good and the bed was very comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this place of you're travelling to the area.
I was attracted by the age of the property and location and wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely stunning. The village of Winslow is beautiful and so friendly.
Jeff is a fabulous host who is incredibly friendly and wonderful to chat to. He’ll go out of his way to make your stay perfect. He is also quite the domestic goddess 😃
Absolutely perfect. Working away is always difficult to find a match to what you have at home. However the comfort and more importantly the peace and quiet is key to a good night sleep and this is exactly what I had. Would highly recommend the accommodation. Also superb valve as well compared to other hotels in the area.
We loved the atmosphere of the hotel/pub .great staff .great pub food and pies.it was ideal location for us going to Silverstone for a weekend of motogp👍👏loved my room 40 thanks
Wow - what a great pub/hotel, much bigger than I expected. Everyone really helpful, friendly & great food + location. I'll be back! Lovely village also for a weekend away.
Old world charm with real world people and a great Steak & Kidney pie. The hotel was reported to be full but they had enough space so you’d never notice.
