It was an amazing short break. The room was full of character with loads of amenities. Bed and pillows very comfortable, we had a very good night sleep. Room was very clean, we stayed 2 nights and they changed our towels and made the bed the second morning.
Breakfast was to die for, especially on the second day - different chef, you could tell...The 2 girls serving the breakfast very friendly and helpful. They didn't wear any name tag so unable to be more personal.
We didn't dine at the restaurant as we looked at the reviews on trip advisor and lately weren't that great...but maybe we should've tried. Plenty of walks, close to small villages, close to Bath. Anyway, we loved it. Definitely we will come back.

The staff at the front desk were fabulous.
The large non -chlorine -smelling pool was divine.
The grounds were beautiful.

Comfortable relaxing atmosphere. The sitting room has a larger TV and comfortable sofas to relax whilst having a quiet drink. The staff were flexible and accommodating and their service was polite. Breakfast was good, it is usually perfect.
We came for a short break and we loved it.
The WIFI signal might become slow during your stay but nothing that you can't work with.
You had TV in the room with Netflix, which is a plus.
It was an amazing stay.
Bed and pillows very good, breakfast amazing, loads of hot breakfast. The vegetarian dish that I hose was so good.

My friends and I had no other purpose than to spend time...
My friends and I had no other purpose than to spend time together and, (apart from a delicious lunch at The Pear Tree - 5 mins walk) we spent the entire 3 days in the garden and house. If you want a few days of peace and privacy, with whatever you need just a quick text away, then this is absolutely ideal. We loved having the horses hang out with us too. We cooked all our meals there, and there was nothing we couldn't find in the kitchen inc. salt, pepper & oil. Great shower, comfy beds, lovely decor - Lagard stables had everything we needed and more.
