We were greeted with a very warm welcome, all staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a double and single room which were very clean and comfortable with nice bathroom products, also provided in the room was water, tea & coffee. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The location was perfect for us to visit family and local tourist spots. Would highly recommend a stay at this pub hotel.

What can I say? I had had a particularly traumatic day and arrived quite late. The staff were warmly welcoming, and the landlady went beyond the call of duty in listening to me and making me really comfortable and at home. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness and hospitality, and her patience when I accidentally pulled the whole curtain down in my room! The room was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Altogether, I cannot recommend the Green Dragon highly enough, and I shall certainly be coming back.

The Pelican Inn is in the main square, but the rooms are located at the rear of the pub because they had been the stables. Our room, No. 2, had no window but a magnificent skylight which flooded the room with light during the day and closed electronically by us, with absolutely no light showing, in the evening. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The room opened onto a pretty courtyard garden - we stayed Monday and Tuesday night and the pub closed at 6pm, so we sat quietly in the garden. Highly recommend this accommodation!

For drinks the pub (The Churchill) in the village has a nice beer garden but wasn't doing food when we were there. Good pub grub in a nearby village; within walking distance from the cottage (The Green Dragon) and they have a lovely Great Dane! This village also has a Co op.
