The property was very accommodating, comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. We were made to feel very welcome by the proprietor Brian who helped us with our bikes and gave us lots of useful information. It was a very inviting and friendly atmosphere. After a long days cycling he took us both a glass of wine up to then terrace where it was very nice to sit and relax in the sunshine. (His nice Savingnon Blanc was also much cheaper than the surrounding bars) . His home grown strawberries were plentiful and very tasty too. A perfect stay.

Lovely sea views from the room and a really nice decking bar/ breakfast/ lounging area to enjoy the view .
Very friendly and helpful staff, made you feel at home.
The only down side is carparking in such tiny streets is impossible, there is public car parking a little stroll away , obviously you have to pay for this .
You need to enable to walk a steep hill down to the beach and of course back up , a very nice bar / restaurant at the bottom ,well worth the effort

Ventnor is, of course, rather hilly so walking can be difficult for those with mobility issues. The weather is generally good and the place has its own warm, sunny microclimate in which exotic plants thrive. Bus links to other parts of the island are good and travel is cheap: currently £2 per bus ride. You need two buses to get to lots of places eg Cowes (the no 3 and then the no 1), as buses go into Newport. There are great places to eat which suit a range of tastes. The Smoking Lobster on The Esplanade is excellent, and the Drunken Lobster (diametrically opposite the Boots Ventnor bus stop for the no 3 to Newport) is lively and a favourite.

Lovely town on a steep hillside, with a sandy beach at the bottom. Really lovely food at the pub The Spyglass.
Botanical Gardens are wonderful, cliff walk lovely in both directions, and a great walk up on to the downs from where you can see the whole Island. Did everything on foot and by bus.

Really loved the town, wasn't too big.
Really loved the town, wasn't too big. Had shops to cater for all you would need. Very clean. Every where we went the people always welcoming and so friendly.
Lots of great walks on your doorstep whether it is along the coast or across the downs. Or there is a great bus service that can take you to the popular attractions.
Eating out there were all manner of food you could enjoy. Also at all price levels to suit your budget. Have to say our absolute favourite place to eat based on price and quality was The Bistro.
Has extremely steep hills to get down to the esplanade so would require you to drive if you had any mobility issues.
Would highly recommend.

Quaint sea side small coastal town .
Quaint sea side small coastal town . Lots of great places to eat , whether it be breakfast , dinner or tea , all tastes catered for , although quite a few places closed Monday . A little hilly if walking . But close to lots of things
The Kaia flat in Ventnor is a beautiful little place. We had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and it was so warm, even though we never felt the radiators come on! We loved the sea view and sat on the balcony loads to enjoy it, day and night. We were welcomed with a beautiful card and a bottle of wine, plus milk in the fridge. We have no complaints - a fantastic stay on the Isle of Wight. We highly recommend this holiday accommodation.
(Please note that there is no washing machine BUT there IS a Tassimo coffee machine!)
It was great to wake up to the sea view every morning and likewise to be a le to take all our meals both inside and out viewing the sea. It was a peaceful location with access to many amenities within a few minutes walk. The property had enough suitable spaces for us to be together as a group or to find a quiet place to be be on your own. The grandsons enjoyed the closeness of the local paddling pool and the nearby beach as well as lizard spotting on our walks to and from Ventnor shingle beach.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Botanist's Rest in Ventnor, Isle of Wight; it's a cute little terraced cottage just off the High Street. It's well decorated and finished to a high standard, and the house was immaculately clean, comfortable and welcoming. It's a short walk into Ventnor town, where there are a number of restaurants and bars. We had a great stay and would certainly consider visiting again.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfasts were varied and enjoyable, with lots of choice.
The room had a balcony which was lovely and the view was fantastic. Would definitely recommend getting a room with a balcony.
The hotel is close to the sea front at ventnor and easily accessible to the sea and beach. This can be seen from the hotel.
The hotel was clean and tidy and on many different levels.
Great location, almost on the beach. Simple well laid out studio style accommodation ideal for a couple. Complimentary basics such as milk, tea and coffee is perfect for arrival. Biscuits and chocs are a nice tough. Handy short cut at the top of the road also - great for a cut through to The Royal Hotel for drinks.
Would recommend.
Everything about this hotel was great. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was superb. There was also an excellent range of options for breakfast. The hotel was a short walk away from the centre of Ventnor and the sea front. The ambience was old-fashioned luxury without being stuffy.
We arrived on a Thursday and had the pool pretty much to ourselves for the whole day. The majority of the staff were excellent, very welcoming and accommodating. Parking at the property was easy and plenty of availability. Only a short walk to the beach and centre. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of options and very tasty.
Great hosts Ruth and Rob welcomed us into their beautiful home. Rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast was wonderful. Garden was gorgeous, so peaceful and relaxing. A short walk at the end of the garden to a lovely quiet beach cove and coastal walks into Ventnor. Loved every part of our stay.
Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable as was our ensuite. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect for our pet dog Flora with Ventnor Park next door which also provided access to a cliff walk into town.
Excellent location just a few seconds walk to the beach - easy walking to Steephill Cove and Bonchurch too. Great house with very comfotable beds, terrific bathrooms and kitchen facilities and very comfortable overall.
The property is in a great location for access into Ventnor, Richard was a superb host and couldn’t do enough for you full of useful information, great breakfast and lovely room
Great host, good location. The property was in the center of Ventnor, there was a good bar downstairs, and a nice little garden in the rear. I enjoyed it, it hit the spot.
The location of the property is excellent. It has a beautiful view over the beach at ventnor.
It's very close to amenities, walking distance to local coastal paths.
We loved the beach and took a morning dip each day.
We liked Ventnor, such a cute little town.
Sitting on the deck outside you have a nice view on the beach.
