The property was very accommodating, comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. We were made to feel very welcome by the proprietor Brian who helped us with our bikes and gave us lots of useful information. It was a very inviting and friendly atmosphere. After a long days cycling he took us both a glass of wine up to then terrace where it was very nice to sit and relax in the sunshine. (His nice Savingnon Blanc was also much cheaper than the surrounding bars) . His home grown strawberries were plentiful and very tasty too. A perfect stay.

The sea front was attractive, The many independent shops and eating places gave it a good vibe. I do not like the americanisation of our leisure areas. There wasn't a McDonalds or Starbucks thank god.

Lovely sea views from the room and a really nice decking bar/ breakfast/ lounging area to enjoy the view .
Very friendly and helpful staff, made you feel at home.
The only down side is carparking in such tiny streets is impossible, there is public car parking a little stroll away , obviously you have to pay for this .
You need to enable to walk a steep hill down to the beach and of course back up , a very nice bar / restaurant at the bottom ,well worth the effort

Ventnor is, of course, rather hilly so walking can be difficult for those with mobility issues. The weather is generally good and the place has its own warm, sunny microclimate in which exotic plants thrive. Bus links to other parts of the island are good and travel is cheap: currently £2 per bus ride. You need two buses to get to lots of places eg Cowes (the no 3 and then the no 1), as buses go into Newport. There are great places to eat which suit a range of tastes. The Smoking Lobster on The Esplanade is excellent, and the Drunken Lobster (diametrically opposite the Boots Ventnor bus stop for the no 3 to Newport) is lively and a favourite.

Lovely town on a steep hillside, with a sandy beach at the bottom. Really lovely food at the pub The Spyglass.
Botanical Gardens are wonderful, cliff walk lovely in both directions, and a great walk up on to the downs from where you can see the whole Island. Did everything on foot and by bus.

Really loved the town, wasn't too big.
Really loved the town, wasn't too big. Had shops to cater for all you would need. Very clean. Every where we went the people always welcoming and so friendly.
Lots of great walks on your doorstep whether it is along the coast or across the downs. Or there is a great bus service that can take you to the popular attractions.
Eating out there were all manner of food you could enjoy. Also at all price levels to suit your budget. Have to say our absolute favourite place to eat based on price and quality was The Bistro.
Has extremely steep hills to get down to the esplanade so would require you to drive if you had any mobility issues.
Would highly recommend.
The White Lion in the village of Tinon with excellent accommodation of an excellent high standard and an lovely bar/restaurants is at a perfect location in Ventnor. It is very easy to get around the whole of Isle of Wight. Live music on a Saturday evening was great, the venue is very clean and has everything you need. Staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Wishing this venue and owner a real success as we felt really lucky to find this newly done up accommodation to a very high standard.
A gem. Of a place, spectacular grounds to walk with a fantastic cliff walk to the beach. this hotel is dog friendly and the staff are really helpful. I am surprised at the rates this hotel charges it is very good value for money and I would have expected to pay more for accommodation of this standard. there is a swimming pool and a bar is open for residents in the day time, if I am in the area again this will definitely be the place I will stay
We had a wonderful stay at Top Deck - a beautiful, cosy, spotless apartment with amazing sea views. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable - everything was great. Free parking in Ventnor and around the island with the pass arranged for us was a great bonus. Our hosts were so hospitable and helpful, dealing with our queries very promptly and efficiently and always with friendliness and good humour. We would really recommend Top Deck to others.
Situated overlooking the beach and within walking distance of all the facilities of Ventnor - excellent restaurants and a great seaside pub. The apartment was comfy, well equipped and the perfect spot to watch the world go by below. Ventnor gets the most sunshine in England and so it proved for us. While over the Solent they were in cloud and rain we were looking out on a sunny seascape with swimmers and walkers. We loved it.
Lovely spacious apartment, stylishly furnished and well equipped. Exceptionally clean and comfortable.
Beautiful park opposite which links to Ventnor beach front. A leisurely walk over the hill in the park greets one with a stunning view of the sea and the walk through the trees is lovely. This comes out at The Spyglass Inn which has really good food. Off street parking and wifi good. Definitely recommend a stay here.
Beautiful hotel...lovely area. Large comfortable room with equally large bathroom. Plenty of space in the car park or on the street for parking. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.
We even saw the wall lizards in the garden.
Convenient for walking into town or to the sea front. Ventnor Park just around the corner was lovely.
Very beautifully appointed apartment. Everything you need for a comfortable stay was made available. Located opposite a beautifully managed garden park. Shop, cafes and beach is within reasonable walking distance, be mindful Ventnor is very hilly. We very much enjoyed our stay at Clarence House apartments.
Superb location 60 seconds from the beach and esplanade. One parking space, which is a bonus in Ventnor. All facilities up to standard. Tea, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar. Cling film (a little). Plenty of crockery etc Although there was accommodation above and below, this did not cause any issues.
Great hosts Ruth and Rob welcomed us into their beautiful home. Rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast was wonderful. Garden was gorgeous, so peaceful and relaxing. A short walk at the end of the garden to a lovely quiet beach cove and coastal walks into Ventnor. Loved every part of our stay.
Lovely hideaway close to an enchanting little cove. Thanks for the little hamper !
Easy access to the cliff paths and a short walk into Ventnor. Steephill cove nearby has a couple of laid back cafes and a small sandy beach.
Loved the central location right on the High Street with easy access to local restaurants etc after a busy sightseeing day travelling around the island. Ventnor gardens and beaches all within walking distance too.
A gem on the Isle Of Wight. Very friendly team, great location for the 'bottom' of the island, first class restaurant (make sure you're there Friday - steak night is terrific). Lovely garden too.
I usually stay in hotels when visiting the Island but this has changed my habits for good- exceptional accommodation with thoughtful touches in a perfect location for all amenities and the beach
The property is in a great location for access into Ventnor, Richard was a superb host and couldn’t do enough for you full of useful information, great breakfast and lovely room
