Longsands Lodge, hotel in Tynemouth

Situated in Tynemouth and only 400 metres from King Edward's Bay, Longsands Lodge features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Excellent location and lovely and quiet. The property had everything needed for a stay there and there were extra touches like fruit and scones upon arrival with a warm welcome note. Very dog friendly with dog bowls and plenty of rugs around. Fast WiFi connection and generally a pleasant stay.

The View, hotel in Tynemouth

Featuring free bikes and views of sea, The View is a guest house situated in a historic building in Tynemouth, 700 metres from King Edward's Bay.

Not what we expected, description a little different to what we got, we needed ground floor so booked Deluxe Double Room, which on our paperwork stated 1 large double bed & 2 singles, on ground floor, private entrance, private bathroom, hot tub, private kitchen, parking etc. what we got was 1 ground floor bedroom with 1 double bed, main entrance, and the private bathroom, was a tiny little room with a tiny shower and SEPTIC TANK LOO with sink attached to top, not somewhere you would want to clean your teeth, for sure. Kitchen was our own and very nice, never saw the hot tub, barbecue, but did have a room full of games machines, which you had to squeeze past a badly arranged wardrobe to get to, to watch telly as the one in the bedroom didnt work. it was pretty much unfinished throughout and very mish mash. Needed first aid and first aid box was empty. Owner was apologetic and otherwise friendly and helpful nice guy. but pretty sure we won't be rushing back. Shame as it had a lovely view and a nice litle town.

A fantastic location, close to the beach and some great restaurants and bars. An easy walk to the city. Room was a comfortable size, and even though the room was quite warm, having the fan option was very much appreciated.

Tynemouth has beautiful beaches and views, with plenty of pubs with real ale and cafes. Great place to visit as day trip from Newcastle on the Metro, or as stopping off point on coastal walk/cycle.

I have visited Tynemouth on previous occasions though this was the first time i had stayed there. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate on this occasion but from experience Tynemouth is an excellent place for a relaxing break. There are coastal walks and History in the town which is very well kept. Also there are several places of interest to visit nearby and the centre of Newcastle is a 20 minute ride on the Metro.

Cosy flat comes with all cooking amenities well stocked with bowls, plates, cups and pans. Cooking was excellent, with a good sized fridge. Less than 5min walk to the sea shore and 10min up into the high street. Nice ice cream shop 70yards away. Grand Hotel is 3min walk if you want to dine out. Sainsbury's local is a 5min drive away Contact-free check-in was easy, very well described by host Daniel, plus the provided free parking was an excellent bonus. Secure accommodation. I enjoyed my stay here.

We had a fantastic stay at Raymond's apartment, communication was excellent with clear and easy to understand check in and property information, the apartment was immaculate and super value with a bright modern feel, great location just minutes into Tynemouth and North Shields, some lovely treats on arrival with the heating on and everything there we could wish for, and a huge TV !. The enclosed yard with outdoor seating is a nice feature. Definitely recommend this property, we will be coming back!

Breakfast was great! Made it myself in the kitchen. Location was very good, close to Front St, Tynemouth. Short walk to Metro, stores, historic Tynemouth Castle and coast. Wish I had time to stay there longer than the 2 days I had available. I am looking forward to staying there next time I get back to UK. Excellent apartment, ideal for a family stay.

The location is ideal for exploring everything Tynemouth has to offer, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beaches. Edith Haven is an excellent holiday home, tastefully decorated, clean and spacious enough for our party of four. A few welcome treats from the owner Raymond was a lovely touch too.

The place is great. It's fresh, well cared for and pretty well equipped. The location is first class with cafes, restaurants and local pubs just around the corner. The views along the coast across the river and of the Tynemouth Priory are simply magnificent. Parking is designated so no problems there at all.

The place is exactly as the pictures show. It is cozy and warm... very homey. The staff were also responsive when I reached out. The location is North Shields..(not Tynemouth as indicated) if you are traveling by metro or bus, alight at North Shields and use the address indicated.

My friends and I spent one night in Edith Haven. It's a beautiful house that has clearly recently been renovated to a very high standard. It's a very convenient location near the centre of Tynemouth and the metro. Would definitely recommend and would return in the future.
