What a lovely place! We enjoyed our stay very much indeed. The cottage is spacious, welcoming, bright, warm and clean. And, very well equipped. Everything you could possibly need was there. Just like a home from home. The owner was very helpful and responsive to our questions. It is also dog friendly and we did not need to pay extra for our pet dog to stay with us.

Good range of shops and the restaurants were very busy.
Good range of shops and the restaurants were very busy. It seems advisable to pre book at Pizza Express if in town on a Friday or Saturday night - it was very busy. The cathedral is a fantastic imposing building.

To me Truro is an ideal base for visiting Cornwall.
To me Truro is an ideal base for visiting Cornwall. It has a central position with good access to the road system. There are good restaurants if you like to eat out and the best shopping center in Cornwall.

Plenty of good shops and the market was nice.
Plenty of good shops and the market was nice. Parking is a real issue as is the cobbled paths and open drains on the side of the road. Some areas which looked like they should be pedestrian were not. Not a good place for wheelchair users because of the cobbles. A lot of choice for eating or drinking.

Truro is a lovely city in Cornwall.
Truro is a lovely city in Cornwall. People are friendly and hospitable. Tons of restaurants, shops, cafe's, and there is a Town Hall that has entertainment, movie house so a short stay here would be filled with lots to do. The Cathedral is a lovely place to visit and there is lots to do from this central point.
Hire a car and head to Newquay, Falmouth or St Ives for the day.

City centre was lovely!
City centre was lovely! We enjoyed meandering through the cathedral (which was very grand, the architecture absolutely brought me to tears, managed to light a prayer candle for lent, also they have an ongoing exhibit about awareness of abuse in the church) and the cornwall museum is closeby :D they have wacky artefacts. The coffee and cornish pasties and the pastries are the bomb dot com but the other grub not so much, i mean, it's just typical british fare innit haha also truro station connects easily to penzance and the other more touristy bits. Transportationwise, quite hard, buses are a little but unreliable even with the time table. Not much uber drivers but the taxis are popping. There are taxis around the station and they have a taxi calling app and there are cards that you can get from the accommodation. Pretty old timey but charming.
We went to this part of Cornwall to remind ourselves how lovely it is , trelissick gardens were a couple of miles, King Harry Ferry , St Just church , and the cliffs of south Cornwall . This lovely house was in a perfect position to do all of that. House is small , perfect for two , warm and comfy , lovely gardens to walk in , walking distance to two pubs , and easy drive to truro , Falmouth , north Cornwall etc .
Rooms were exceptionally clean and checked every day. Breakfast was amazing, all freshly prepared and cooked. Hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating. Location was ideal for central Truro and for travelling around Cornwall in general.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good central location whilst in Cornwall. The whole hotel felt airy, fresh and welcoming after a recent renovation. As a solo traveler I also felt really safe.
The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and fun. Nothing is too much trouble.
The setting is beautiful and great to be in walking distance of Truro.
The hotel is delightful.
