The manager and staff provided us with excellent service. The atmosphere, food and drink were great and all our rooms were comfortable with nice facilities

The proximity to the seaside, the obliging nature of the staff, and the 'old world' charm of the hotel building itself.

Lovely pretty village with good amenities, but no shop, so either ensure you have want you want or go to a nearby super market on route. Lidl at Heacham perfect as on the way in to Thornham. You can also do home delivery. Deli has many products and has daily papers but it is quite expensive. We had breakfast and the staff were fantastic. The lifeboat pub was also good. Grumpy barman but had his retirement the night we had a meal. The pie was delicious. The beach was expansive but no coffee shack or real destination. Very windy so wrap up. But perfect for dogs to run off their energy. There is a lovely meadow next to the village hall. Perfect for letting the dogs run around if you don’t want to venture too far.

Fantastic accommodation everything was perfect it was very clean spacious and beautiful. The breakfast choice was fantastic and the food 5 star. It was such a nice surprise to get a cream tea on arrival delicious. The little details like toffees in a jar and water every day were a great touch. All in all i would definitely start again.

Thornham is a lovely Norfolk village within walking distance of the sea and coastal dunes. It has a number of footpaths around it and through it which are worth walking. There is a very good Deli/cafe in the village and a number of places offering B&B.

The cleanliness of our room was simply unacceptable.
The cleanliness of our room was simply unacceptable. We arrived to find our bathroom floor had not been cleaned, it still had urine marks on the floor around the toilet area and mud on the floor (see attached photo taken upon arrival)
Also, you must walk to The Lifeboat Inn (sister hotel) for breakfast which is approx. 7 min walk! Fortunately, the weather was fine during our stay but dread to think what it would be like if it rained. We ate at the restaurant once and left will all our clothes smelling of kitchen oil fumes, they need to look at their extractor fan. Food v average.
I was welcomed by a very miserable lady who did not want to engage with me upon arrival or upon departure.
We ended up ordering breakfast from The Orange Tree a few buildings down from the thorn ham Rooms, where we were met with ahoy faces and enjoyed 5-star service. We have now booked to stay at The Orange Tree for Easter and is cheaper than the Thornham Rooms.
Also, our room was not cleaned and refreshed on day 2, however, our daughters was cleaned.
My advice to Thornham Rooms, find a cleaner who cares about their work and don't charge 5-star prices for a 3-star service.
FYI, I wrote to Thornham Rooms to complain on Monday 13th when we arrived and have yet to receive a reply.

Thornham is a pleasant small village close to the coast and excellent beaches for dogs and their owners. We had excellent weather so everything we did was out-doors. Bad weather would have been activity-restricting. Food at 2 local pub/restaurants was disappointing, despite the good reviews that attracted us there
The location was perfect, just off the main road in Thornham village and great access to surrounding villages. The cottage is about a 10 minute walk from Thornham Deli. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful fireplace at the property and the well equipped kitchen. The cottage is deceivingly spacious with 3 very comfortable double rooms upstairs and 3 bathrooms, plenty of space for our family. Plenty of useful information was left in the kitchen with regards to heating, hot water and wifi access. Really enjoyed our stay.
Thornham Rooms (The Chequers Inn) is now accommodation only so it is in a slight transitional stage with the old dining areas being cleared and sorted. The original lounge is still there and we enjoyed sitting there with our friends pre-dinner at The lifeboat Inn around the corner. There are a few soft drinks and crisps available to help yourself. Pleased to see the ESPA comp toiletries are still in the bathrooms.
Everything was considered for us and the cottage was exceptionally clean and comfortable. liked the contained garden for our dogs and parking only a few feet away helps with unpacking/packing. The Deli across the road supplies everything you could need and served wonderful food too. There’s a lovely dog walk loop that takes you to the beach and back through Thornham.
We have stayed at Thornham 33 and it is in a great location above the Thornham Deli. It is accessible via walking the salt marshes to the beach which we find very convenient. The rooms that are offered by Thornham 33 and exquisitely decorated and the bed is one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The breakfast is sourced locally and is delicious.
Beautiful bathroom and had everything you would need (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bubble bath etc), very comfortable bed, well thought out rooms with mirror placement and plug sockets close by (surprisingly not common in hotels I've stayed in). Great selection in the honesty bar and the staff were really accommodating with early check in.
Location of room was superb for visiting the North Norfolk coast. Room was a good size. Bed extremely comfortable. Super shower. With supply of good quality complimentary water, tea, coffee etc. Plenty of places nearby to have breakfast or evening meals. Nice sitting area within the main hotel building with supply of games/books/snacks.
the chapel has a great style of decor, great space to relax in with room for everyone in the family, really well equipped with lovely added touches for a wonderful stay. Thornham village is a great village to explore with some great places to eat with children and so much to see nearby.
Staff were fantastic and very welcoming. Breakfast was brilliant and the location is very close to a lovely walk from Thornham Harbour. Our dog Nelly loved her stay and the staff too.
Good location for what I was doing (golf trip). Breakfast was good, although I had to explain to the lady at the Thornham deli that breakfast was included in my package!
