We loved the traditional old pub and atmosphere. The staff were all so lovely and food superb. The area is quiet with great walking and we enjoyed seeing the castle. A short visit but very relaxing and a place we would like to return to soon.

It was very clean and the owner was very polite and friendly. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and the location is brilliant. Close to the castle and to the bars and shops short walk away. Would definitely go back.

We had a pleasant welcome and had a clean, comfortable room with all the facilities we needed for our overnight stay.
Breakfast was very good and we were looked after well.
We were able to park on the driveway and the location was quiet but close to the town centre.

myself and husband went for a Xmas meal with 12 other people unfortunately for us were we sat the roof was leaking all over the table the annoying thing was they had known since morning and did nothing to move the table else wear not happy. the room we were put in very basic not in the main hotel but round the back and midway thru a shower the shower packed up so I had to stand in the bath and wash off the soap not happy at all very poor experience tge Xmas meal was nice and breakfast next morning nice that was only good thing
From parking and entering the reception area, staff were friendly and welcoming. Evening meal in the Hotel was served in a timely manner, staff helpful and professional. The room was exceptional value and delivered to expectation. Breakfast, there was great choice. All in all a hidden gem for me in the countryside, a few minutes from the A50. Just perfect in all respects.
