Stayed for 1 night, Justin (Just a barman) greeted us when we came, gave us the house keeping rules and was very nice. It's a shame that we don't get a free drink on the house 😊, anyway still a good place to stay and also on leaving the cleaner called us a taxi.
Perfect for families, friends, business and couples.
Perfect for families, friends, business and couples. So much to do around the area. Local tescos, aldi, halfords, b&m, mc Donald's, Gregg's, and other big named shops. Also there is a retail mall about 10 min drive away. Beautiful area with gorgeous trees and scenery. Local to alton towers and a mile down the road is monkey forest, the uks only place where you can walk amongst 140 monkeys. A must visit!

We went to Alton Towers which was great but extremely expensive and very crowded so only managed 3 rides, due to the queing times.
Didn't really see much more of Stoke apart from our hotel, which was very nice.

As previously stated - there was nothing positive in the slightest. However, on reading some other reviews (wish I’d read them before booking) it was reassuring to see similar comments and photographs. As for those people giving it 9/10 and 10/10 reviews are either from the hotel, or being paid to write a totally dishonest review. The place is desperate…and no matter how you try to dress it up - it is not fit for purpose and should be removed from booking.com

My husband chose the holiday.
My husband chose the holiday. I booked the hotel and its location as I was born in Stoke on Trent. It was near to Wedgwood World and other attraction we wanted to visit. The area has changed vastly since I lived there and we relied on a Satnav to get around by car. We stayed for 4 nights. On the last day we visited Trentham gardens shopping centre which was well worth the visit. However, we spent more time there and didn't get to see the gardens which were done by Capability Brown. The swimming pool we used to visit when I was a child was long gone and I would have been interested to visit the gardens. We would stay in this hotel again due to its convenient location.. Stoke on Trent is the 'Potteries'. It's industrial era cam to a close in the 20th century with its coal mines closes, pottery firms moved out and the Shelton steel works closed down. I haven't lived there for over 50 years and it was good to come back to see the town is still thriving. I did not visit the Stadium or Regent Theatre. I did visit Moorcroft and Middleton potteries. We would have visited Gladstone pottery but it was closed.
The rooms were clean to a high standard,
All staff and management were excellent friendly and caring my partner took really poorly while staying here and had to be took to stoke royal , the staff where excellent thoughtful and kind during this happening and we're going above and beyond to ensure we were okay.... The staff and management are a credit to this hotel thank yous so much we Appriciate everything
The breakfasts are nice aswell well cooked nice runny eggs... Perfect thankyous all again
A very spacious flat (especially the bathroom!), clean, with a well-equipped functional kitchen, and comfy large bed. In a quiet though run-down looking street, it's a convenient 10-*minute walk from the Stoke rail station, and about the same time to a couple of supermarkets. The flat is upstairs in an old building, but it has been refurbished to a generally good standard... not 'flash' but cosy and homely. We'd readily stay here again if ever back in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is not a hotel it is a terrorist house in a slum area of Stoke to get in you have to get a key from a lock with a combination!
The room was small and the bedding was dirty.
There was not breakfast as advertised!
We complained and was that it was fine we refused to stay there and booked into a proper hotel and was told that we would not be refunded!
Extremely unhappy do not book unless you like to stay in a slum area
Lovely hotel with the view of the Stoke stadium. Right off the motorway and about 35 minutes from Alton towers.
Value for money and convenient for a nights stay.
Due to covid the breakfast was served in packaging and the hot breakfast was simply a sausage/egg/bacon muffin. So no cooked English breakfast.
Apart from that I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
The breakfast was amazing the staff were wonderful and the hotel was immaculate first we stayed at Hilton on Thursday and Friday 1st June 2nd June booked under my partners name Eric mee we then went on to Liverpool but the hotel we booked for 3 nights was appalling so we booked the Hilton agsin and drive back to Stoke on trent
An excellent stay at the Borough Arms Hotel. Centrally located, close to all amenities and the train station was only a 5 minute taxi ride away. Fabulous price and lovely, helpful staff. My room was clean, warm and comfortable. I will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Hotel is in a really good location for rail travellers, directly opposite the main entrance to the station. The room price was quite cheap and a buffet breakfast was available for an add-on of £7.50, which is reasonable value, and there was a reasonable supply of tea and coffee in the room.
Staff very cheery, helpful, easy to talk too, the atmosphere was lovely, breakfast was beautiful, hot and well presented, the reception and common areas very clean, room was lovely we had a twin bed standard, will book there again next time we visit family in Stoke on trent.
Located a few minutes walk from railway station and town centre. Straightforward self-check-in. Smart room with all the essentials expected in an aparthotel. Helpful guide to local food amenties: shops, restaurants and takeaways.
That there is now a premier inn at the bottom of the same road so will be staying there on my next visit, the staff were very friendly and was the only bonus to my stay at the hotel
I didn't have a breakfast .I was told that they did 'nt do them at the hotel. I also didn't get the use of any wi- fi ; I was told that you had to request it at the reception !
