There are plenty of food outlets, Indian, fish and chips, Italian and pizza places. Some were closed on a Saturday night which made me wonder if the place doesn't attract enough visitors to sustain all the outlets.

The buses into Nottingham are really good and regular, start early and finish late and they also go to Derby. Don't rely on cafe's being open, we had to walk some distance past several unopened cafe's before we came to a takeaway with tables that we could get a meal in! Most likely a good place as a base to go elsewhere. There seem to be a plethora of takeaways

Does what it says on the tin. It's in a nice area. Its comfy, Nice and clean with good road links. Nice area with great parking. Easy walking distance to the town and Aldi is nearly next door! You get a tv, a kettle plus private shower and toilet. I've used it on two trips (total of 8 nights) and would be happy to stay again.
