Great location, very comfortable bed and great amenities in the room, we’re worried the rooms were on the beer garden but was very quiet when we stayed (tues night) was ideal for staying with our dog when he needed to go out overnight.

Breakfast was the definite highlight, at £12.50pp, it was very good value, it was very filling and top quality, we had the full English option, continental available, unfortunately we found the room was in need of some touching up, paint peeling off the walls, and in the shower/toilet room there was a very strong musty damp smell, which was a little over powering, otherwise thing weren’t too bad, bed wasn’t very big, but it was comfortable, tea/ coffee & chocolate drink were provided, and the room was clean, the attached pub is olde world, and serves good food, not too expensive either, staff we met were all friendly and helpful.

Food was good.
Food was good. Fish and chip Friday 2 x fish and chips with peas and a bottle of wine £30.00 and it was probably the best fish and chips we have had in a long time.
Oxford just down the road. We booked this Hotel as we had various appointments at two Hospitals so made the most of a few days away.
Also had a Thai meal in the next village (Firest Hill) The White Horse excellent.
