Set in lovely surroundings. But a bit too isolated if you don’t have a car.
The old town has changed beyond recognition. Empty shops except for charity shops and 'The Mall', The quality of goods on sale rather poor unless you shop in one of the Pound Shops, John Lewis or Apple. 30 years has impacted negatively on the old Town, M & S gone, House of Fraser, good manners all gone, litter in the streets, even the coffee shops had dirty tables, litter on the floor, sad. Excuse my sarcasm in the next question

Sollihull has a lot to offer in things to do.
Sollihull has a lot to offer in things to do. The local National Institute (Baddesley Clinton) has 2 places to visit in a short driving distance with plenty of walking around the properties. There are restaurants within walking and short driving distances as well as grocery stores.

Didn't really see the place.
Didn't really see the place. We were there for an exhibition nearby. There are planty of good restuarants nearby. Just as well because the Regency Hotel restuarant was expensive and not very good.

Solihull is one of the better areas of the West Midlands and offers a pleasant stay and local amenities. Parking in central Birmingham is not easy but a local bus (Route 6) stops right outside the hotel and runs 8 times an hour weekdays, 6 on Saturday's and 4 on Sunday's. In the other direction this runs through to Solihull.
This city of Birmingham has lots to see and plenty of shops including the Bull Ring for those looking for a bit of retail therapy.

The hotel is in Knowle, on the outskirts of Solihull. Lots of great restaurants within a few minutes walk. Fantastic Artisan
Bakery for sandwiches and deli items. Very convenient to get to NEC. Good walks down the Grand Union Canal.

Charged more money than when we booked through booking.com...
Charged more money than when we booked through booking.com paid for 3 rooms and all on different floors. Said we had to pay extra for breakfast and charged us £155 a family room which wasn’t a family room no child bed was made up. Room full of marks on walls and ceiling. Ask to speak to manager and no manager was working on Saturday ! Really disappointed with village hotels we expected it to be as good as the Elstree one couldn’t be so different.
Station approach is immaculately clean, warm and very homely. The beds were very comfortable. The host Theresa was very welcoming and attentive, and was keen to give us information and advice on where to eat, etc. The location is excellent for walking in to Solihull centre, accessing the NEC by car, and Birmingham centre by train. We were able to help ourselves to tea and coffee at any time of the day or evening, and breakfast (cereals, toast, yoghurts, juice) was perfectly fine for our needs.
We were met at the premises by one of the team who explained the apartment / parking etc this was all set up via WhatsApp. The apartment is in a great location 10mins walk from the centre of solihull and 5 mins from the train station giving easy access to Birmingham or London. It has everything we needed for our stay including wifi for the kids. Great value too. Highly recommend
Our room was immaculately clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hotel's location is in a pretty village on the high street was perfect for us, just a couple of miles away from Solihull town centre.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked again!
Lovely location. Nice grounds to walk in with small lake and fountain. Outside dining area & bar looked great. Shame the weather wasn't fit for it to be used. Our room block looked almost brand new - very clean & sharp. Very comfy. Like Prem Inn really.
Will definitely stay again when the opportunity arises.
Hotel is really clean and everything is exactly what you'd expect from a Village Hotel. Breakfast is great, lots of choice available and the menu on an evening has options for everyone too. For our work event it was perfectly situated.
We had a short break taking in the Sea life centre, Warwick Castle and Dudley Zoo, this was perfectly located without having to stay in Birmingham.
Lovely grounds to the hotel, close to the motorway and parking is free.
Really lovely little flat, very clean and well presented with everything we would need (including washing machine and kitchen utensils) located near enough to walk into Solihull or drive to Birmingham International.
The accommodations and especially the staff were absolutely wonderful. My wife and I were traveling abroad from California and found this hotel as an amazing stop through England. We would strongly recommend.
Beautiful hotel in a great location for exploring this part of Warwickshire and travel to Birmingham. Staff were exceptional and made you feel very welcome. Highly recommend.
