Room was comfortable, clean and spacious, there was a fly net on the window which was brilliant as it was a warm night. Easy to navigate to rooms and check-in was simple. Loved that we had already paid in advance and that breakfast was included. Free parking was good.

Firstly the room was "huge". Contained a double and two singles so more than adequate for a couple. Room was very clean especially taking into account the size of the room and that it was a very old property with oak beams.
Had all the facilities you would need, WiFi, TV, alarm clock, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, desk area.
The staff was really friendly and although we didn't eat in the restaurant we did visit the bar for a drink and the bar man was very friendly and polite.
Breakfast was wonderful and the lady serving, possibly Wendy (?) was very attentive without being overbearing.
In conclusion, we would definitely be looking to book again when in the area. Highly recommended.

What a lovely place to stay. It was very well laid out, has all the basics for what you need and well run. Communication with the owner is very good and easy and they were very accommodating with dietary requirements.
There’s plenty to do nearby, some lovely walks and a lovely pub just up the road. We hope to return!

We loved everything - Penny and David were wonderful hosts and the B&B is gorgeous. Beautiful views from every angle, ample parking and a perfectly cooked breakfast each morning. We would often get back after a day out to a fresh pot of tea and delicious homemade cakes.
We stayed as a family exploring the Forest of Dean. The location was perfect with direct access to the A48. We were able to store our bikes in the barn while we weren't using them which was an added bonus.
Beds were super comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay again in the future!

This was a most enjoyable stay, if too short. Our host was perfect. From the moment. We arrived till we left. Cooking for others, and for us, a fantastic breakfast and being very personal and friendly at the same time as well as helpful with directions, lovely. .

Well worth visiting the Wetlands Centre, the weather wasn't brilliant but still a fun day out. Saw lots of different birds. Will go back again another time of the year to see others and explore the rest of the site. We couldn't see it all in one day. Good location for visiting the Cotswolds generally.

Peter Scott and bird welfare were at the heart of Slimbridge.
All the staff and volunteers were relaxed and helpful.
Special tours and events were clearly posted.
Specialist bird enthusiasts could spend weeks here.
As we are not regular bird watchers, a couple of days seemed enough. There were helpful people to guide us in some of the hides and clear labels on exhibits.
