Lovely location in a quiet village.
The £10 extra charge for our dog was well worth it, lovely doggy treat bag, blanket and water bowl plus the added bonus of getting to eat breakfast with our pooch. More often than not we have to sit outside the breakfast area and pay £15 plus per night for absolutely nothing. Well done Finch Hatton we will definitely come back.

Room was very modern and stylish. Clean and tidy, and very close to amenities.
Loved the added bonus of commentary chocolates and water and a coffee machine in the hallway.
Communication was very good, clear and prompt.

Never had a better B&B breakfast. Room was big and roomy. We are retired and do a considerable amount of traveling and have been in good and bad Hotels and B&B's. This was was very homely and a very pleasent stay
Courtney, the Manager, couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful, an asset to the business.
Plentiful parking at the back of the property and in a quite area, but a 5 minute walk from the town centre
Couldn't have asked for a better stay

Quirky place with lots of character. That being said when I’m away from work I need good WiFi, ckess as n room with tea/coffee facilities, comfortable bed, warm string shower and good food. This place ticks all the boxes.

Only stayed over on a Tuesday night, plenty of places to eat, we ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant in the square, it was busy which is a good sign and the food was excellent. There is a lovely church in the square and coffee shops to chill in. Easy to get to from main link roads. The roads in Sleaford are very busy at times but it is an old town and the roads reflect this.

Probably good to do a wee bit of research before you go.
Probably good to do a wee bit of research before you go. The only thing we knew about it was the Sleaford Mods spawned from the town!
There is a farmer's market first Saturday in the month. A range of restaurants and shops. Restaurants are busy on a Friday night and you need to book in advance. One way system takes a bit of getting used to.

Lovely little place.
Facilities good. Plenty of little shops and pubs and cafes.
Has a Wetherspoons for something cheap and quick but a nice restaurant in market square for something a bit more special.
Nice little riverside cafes.

When we were in Sleaford it poured with rain which spoiled our experience this time. Lovely weather other days visiting surrounding villages Kirkby-la-Thorpe, Asgarby, Ewerby.
We stayed at Finchhatton Arms in Ewerby, it was an excellent small, independent hotel, good food, friendly staff.

Not a place I normally would have considered going to before. We went for another reason but having now been, would definitely visit again. A very interesting town with a lot of history and interesting buildings. Lots of places to eat, ie pubs, restaurants and cafes. I would say a great place for a long weekend.

The property is not in Sleaford itself.
The property is not in Sleaford itself. It’s in a village called Ewerby. The hotel has lots of history which is detailed in a book in the room. There are also many photos scattered around showing how it used to look. Ewerby is a lovely quiet village with a church, a pub and some pretty houses. It was nice for a short stroll. Sleaford itself is a short drive away along country lanes. Sleaford is a much bigger town with a high street packed with shops. There was a nice river there and you could stroll along the banks viewing all the wildlife.
Warm welcome from reception staff with offer to carry bags up to 1st floor room. Pleasant room which was warm, light and airy. Decent sized TV viewable from any aspect. Good local beer, reasonably priced. Evening meal exceeded expectations ; well cooked seasonal dishes with generous portions. Breakfast the next morning followed the same pattern.
Informed by reception that hotel was imminently to change hands but reassured receptionist and chef were transitioning to the new owners.
The Mallards was an excellent B&B hotel. Service was exceptional, the owners Clare and Jim made us feel like family. The breakfast was amazing, the best full English breakfast I've had, and I've had plenty!! The room was super clean, bed very comfy, and easy to get to. Parking out back was very convenient next to the entrance. Just a lovely place to stay in. Would highly recommend, and would definitely go back again. Super value for money!!!
Everything! Warm welcome from the staff. They couldn't be more friendly and attentive. Quirky place to stay. Fantastic outdoor area. The rooms have everything. Comfortable, spotless and the extra little touches. Great menu and choice of beverages. Hayley is lovely and makes the best breakfast. We will be back. Couldn't fault it.
I absolutely loved this place! It was really lovely and I'm so happy I stumbled upon the listing. The location was great. It was easy to find and parking was not a problem. There were lovely touches throughout and lots of information for the cottage and surrounding areas.
Really clean comfortable room, warm friendly welcome, I had a fantastic Full English breakfast best I've had in a B & B/Hotel great produce and very well cooked. £50 for a single room breakfast included beats Travelodge by a country mile. Fast free WiFi.
location was fantastic, my English family had joked about Sleaford being in the middle of no ware but actually worked out great, Sleaford is a beautiful market town close to Linkon and trains 1hr to london and york
The hotel is central, the decor is very quirky, lovey beer gardens. Serves evening meals which were delicious and reasonably price. Breakfast was included in the hotel room price, good choice very tasty.
Suburban house towards edge of Sleaford, with parking in a quiet location. Beautifully kept and good directions from host to find. Warm welcome, comfortable bedroom very well equipped, if slightly small.
Perfect location, comfortable beds, super power shower, courteous friendly helpful Manager Shannon, I will definitely use this hotel again and highly recommend!
