Nice and peaceful, perfect place to relax from every day busy life! There is everything you need in the caravan! The b&b is on the edge of a village so you need a car. Taxis are not readily available but our host was kind enough to take us and pick us up from the restaurant. The Farmhouse is full of history is characterful and very comfortable. Our room was large and looked out over fields. The breakfasts were very tasty and a great start for the day. We couldn't fault our hosts. Friendly informative and nothing was too much trouble. We even had the use of Daves man cave! We'd definitely stay again. The west side of the island is beautiful. We had a fabulous dinner at The Terrace in Yarmouth highly recommend, a lovey lunch at another Terrace in Ventnor a must if you love wine. And a great pub for food and friendly banter, The Crown in Shorwell. We took the car ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth IOW. Thankfully both ways the Solent was a millpond!

In reviewing Shorwell I am really reviewing the area and the Isle of Wight in general. The Westcourt Farm B&B at Shorwell is a great location for getting to pretty much anywhere else on the IoW to visit the sights and experience the place, its location is great. We mostly stopped in the nearby village of Brighstone rather than Shorwell but we were primarily visiting the rest of the IoW and using the B&B as our base.

Beautiful old farm, lots of character, very welcome to us on arriving and very helpful. Unfortunately nothing to do with the accommodation, but every pub or eating venue were fully booked days or even weeks in advance.

We were able to relax and unwind, we knew that if we had any issues our hosts were on hand to assist. The added touches such as a fan in the bedroom indicated that the hosts had thought about their guests needs, we arrived after a long hot journey and the fact we could "cool down" and settle in was very welcome. We would, and have, recommend this holiday accommodation to family and friends.
