Very modern. Neat and compact. Fine for a weekend, but small for a holiday base. Pub attached with a good menu. We ate there for tea and breakfast and the food was excellent. Lovely staff.

Stayed here for one night to attend a concert at the Scarborough Open Air. Location is great for walking to the Town Centre and the beach/front. Got a taxi to the concert venue (a couple of lovely ladies let us share theirs) as it is quite a walk but you can catch buses on the sea front.
The hotel is lovely, decor great and exceptionally clean and in a good location. Breakfast had lots of choice even cater for Gluten Free and was lovely and fresh. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Visited to attend a concert at Scarborough Open Air. Spent the day on the sea front which was lovely plenty of amusements, shops, pubs, cafes, ice cream parlours.
The shame about the weekend was the weather rained all weekend and night but did not spoil any of the weekend just typical British weather. Plenty of shops to buy ponchos!

There's plenty to do that we didn't get around to.
There's plenty to do that we didn't get around to. Not much to do in the rain but we were lucky with the weather. Would have loved to go to the sealife centre but the tickets are too expensive. The beach is lovely, the family fun is great. It's everything you expect from a British seaside and more. There's not a great variety of places to eat if you want a nice meal but there's a plethora of fish and chips. Highly recommend the lifeboat fish and chip shop, all cooked fresh to order and very tasty. Next time we will spend more time at Scarborough Spa and the hills surrounding it. I have been going to Scarborough for 30+ years and never knew there was another cliff lift down there. We went up to Scarborough Market for our breakfasts, there are 2 cafes and we much preferred the one upstairs, the food was cheap, kids breakfasts were absolutely ideal for my 4 year old everything was fresh and so tasty. A cup of tea is only £1! Where can you get that nowadays?

In the kitchen there were a few things lacking such as dish cloths, sponge for washing dishes, very few toilet rolls left out for such a large house. Also no casserole dishes or bowls for salad etc.No lock on toilet door near hot tub. No remote on top floor bedroom
I think we got lucky as our room had been renovated literally that day. Still had seels on the plugs and smelt a bit of fresh paint. The Hotel itself is looking a vit tired but what an amazing piece of architecture. The Sea view terrace has to have the best view of Scarborough. We got delayed at check in but the team behind the counter were clearly.well trained and dealt with circumstances beyond their control.well. value for money in my opinion. I think they are investing in this place and I would be exited about revisiting in a year or so.
This hotel was dated in need of a paint and polish. There was no iron and ironing board or towels in the room and had to ask for them. We must say it was very private didn't get bothered by any one. The green gables is a magnificent building. I thought it was a bit expensive for what we got at £101 per night for 3 nights. But apart from this we had a pleasant stay in Scarborough and certainly would stay here again if the price was a bit lower for what you get .
The hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean, rooms are immaculate with really comfy beds, breakfast was brilliant with plenty of options, but I think the best part has to be the service and staff. Everyone is so helpful, friendly and lovely that it’s the highlight of the stay. Each person goes out of their way to help and make you feel welcome. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Scarborough but here after our visit. Faultless and we can’t wait to come back! : )
The hotel was great, they went above and beyond for us, told them about our engagement and they let us have flowers and balloons delivered to the hotel, they had it all set up when we got there, upgraded to sea view room which was a lovely room, everything clean and tidy and lots of room. The communication was great. Best place we have stayed in Scarborough and the fact they helped us make it special was even better
Beautiful hotel, like stepping back in time, as entering the lovely old staircase with chandelier greets you, reception swift and friendly, our room was lovely and clean. Beds very comfy. Its an old building and old sash windows which didn't work properly but added to its character. Lovely bar n staff very efficient. Nice entertainment lounge. Just wish it wasn't a one night visit, would definitely stay here again.
I cannot describe how surprised I was with the quality of this hotel, I had my doubts when booking because the room was so cheap and I fully expected to get what I was paying for but this really wasn't the case, the room, the staff, the food and just the lovely atmosphere about this hotel shocked me, it was an incredible stay and I will never use any other hotel in Scarborough than this one. An easy 10 out of 10.
Fantastic service and John and Julie are fantastic hosts.
Breakfast and info about Scarborough were exceptional.
Hotel was immaculate, to have a bar in the hotel was wonderful,we met lots of lovely people.John and Julie made everyone really welcome.
We only went for the cosy room which was a decent size and well put together. The receptionists were all really friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening which was decent. Great location as right in the heart of Scarborough.
