Great location with an easy pleasant walk into the centre of town. Breakfast was great and we ate there one night and had a very pleasant meal although we were stuck at the back next to a noisy table and I thought we had booked a table as in house guests but they had trouble finding our name. That was a pity as we were catching up with a relative who we rarely see and chatting was a bit difficult.

We stayed only 1 night as we were attending a music event at The Plaza Theatre. We visited the Memorial Park and Abbey before looking around a some of the independent shops. The bar food was delicious in The White Horse and we had an excellent coffee and a panini in The Exchange.

A very quaint english market town. Historic pubs, excellent shopping options. Daily rotation of vendors in the market square selling everything from plants, vinyl records, clothes to fine baked goods and olives.
Beautiful at Christmas time. Take a day trip to Salisbury cathedral, home of the Magna Carta.

Location was beautiful. Door was left open for us on arrival with candles lit and Prosecco on ice. Hosts were opposite so nearby if needed. We were made to feel comfortable and were contacted in advance on how to find the accommodation as it is in a very rural and secluded location. The barn is cleaned and maintained to a high standard and every aspect is well kept with unique decor. We made the trip to visit Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park however this would serve as a great base to explore any of the big towns or cities nearby.
We were self-catering so the breakfast question is not relevant.
The format of the question about transport did not allow me to give a correct reply. There were three of us of whom two travelled mainly by train and one travelled by car.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were delighted with the property and its character. It also is a perfect location for access to the town. Romsey is also a great base for visits in this area.
The rooms were newly decorated , very clean and modern. Shower was powerful and easy to use. Breakfast exceptional bacon and sausage excellent - we had an evening meal too which we all really enjoyed too. Staff friendly and welcoming .We had a dog and the room had french doors so had direct access out side which was very convenient. Great place would definitely recommend and return if in the area again.
Room was big clean and fresh, on site pub/ restaurant was excellent with high quality food including the breakfast. Parking included and plenty of it on site. Our 3rd visit to these premises and we will always use it when we are in this area and in need of an overnight stay or two. Good location from which to explore the delightful market town of Romsey a short 10 minute walk away.
Beautiful barn, tranquil, peaceful, wonderful, with everything you need, set in the most beautiful garden. Excellent location for Southampton, New Forest, we also visited Exbury Gardens. Bed extremely comfy, such a large room. Claire, the host, her welcome was heartfelt, such a wonderful, kind, friendly lady. We will be returning, The Barn is such an awesome find.
A lovely stay in stylish surroundings. The bedroom was comfortable and very clean. There was access to a lounge and a garden (looked lovely but not the weather!). The house was peaceful and situated in a nice area of Romsey. The breakfast was continental with plenty to choose from. The host was friendly and genuinely keen to help in all ways possible.
Excellent location with good access to local eateries. Ample parking and off road parking. The hostess is delightfully well informed and the decor reflects her exquisite tastes. We found it useful as jumping off point for our cruise from Southampton without the hassle of traffic. We would both recommend.
The young bar staff and waiters were brilliant, very friendly and extremely hard working. Pre-arrival communication and advice were excellent. Early morning staff in bar area very friendly and efficient. Great location for tourist attractions and close proximity to Southampton.
Very easy to get to from Romsey station. We had everything we needed and felt very relaxed and comfortable there. It was clean and very well organized. Also Julia responded to me instantly whenever I had a question and stayed up till midnight to let us in when we first arrived.
This is a quaint converted barn that has old world charm. The gardens are gorgeous. This was great place for us to work during the day and go visiting the countryside in the summer evenings and weekends. Stonehenge was about an hour drive away, Southampton 20 min drive.
En-suite walk in showers off both rooms. Plentiful parking. Dog friendly. Field to exercise dog off garden. Easy to get to local places of interest e.g. Romsey abbey, Hillier Gardens, New Forest. Appreciated provision of cereals and milk. Comfortable beds.
we had a lovely large room ( No1 ) at the front of the Hotel.
We thought it might be noisy , but it wasn't.
Lovely modern feeling .
2 min walk to town
2 min walk to town centre
Amazing breakfast
lovely fresh large luxury towels
Despite staff shortages the staff were always polite & retained a sense of humour throughout our visit.
The location is perfect for The New Forest or Southampton.
Food good but not outstanding.
Cosy accommodation and comfortable bed and with well-cooked breakfast. Short walk into Romsey town centre. Reasonably priced overnight parking in close proximity. Pleasant, amenable hosts.
