The room was clean and the beds comfortable. What made the hotel outstanding is that the owner of the business was physically present to see things for himself, which is rare these days.
Another plus is that it is close to a train station (6 mins walk). For an international traveler using Heathrow, there is a direct train to the Heathrow Terminals from the nearby station. This way, you can avoid the unreasonable taxi fares in London.

I don’t like writing bad reviews and my experience at this hotel may be just a one off but it wasn’t good. The room was incredible small and you would t fit two people in it comfortably. During the night a mass brawl broke out in the corridors and I had to barricade my door. No apologist or explanation from staff. Then a staff member decided to start hovering outside my bedroom door at 9am on a Sunday morning.

Location was ideal, close to public transport and the station was brilliant for me a disabled traveller. Great access for going into the city with connecting tube lines. First time I had ever used the Elizabeth line & it was fantastic.

It was only a short in and out trip, plenty of options for an evening meal. I felt relatively safe walking the streets when going out of an evening to eat. Didn't get to see the Romford Bull 😒 BOSH

I didn't like the fact that there is no lift and you have to walk all the way to the top floor where my room was.And also I got burnt with the the high heat temperature in the shower because it was faulty and was not checked before giving out the room to me. The radiator in the room was not working and the room was so cold. I need a compensation.
This is a fantastic place to stay. I booked an apartment for my relatives and they loved staying here. We were also blown away by how spacious the apartment was.
We spoke to several other guests in the lobby and lifts and everyone we spoke to had a glowing review of it.
Super close to the station and 20 mins on the train to get into London.
Added to which, the staff were so, so lovely and helpful, too. I have nothing but praise for Morland House!

Property was a former local authority flat but was nicely finished, warm and in a quiet location. Central Romford was around 10-12 minutes away by car or roughly 20 minutes walking/by bus with all buses stopping at the station for easy links to Liverpool St every 10 minutes or so. A Tesco Express and Aldi close to the property means it’s easy to get your self-catering essentials.
Host went out to buy Almond milk when I couldn't drink the dairy due to an allergy was very accommodating for this! Helped me carry a very heavy suitcase up stairs! - the location is absolutely perfect! Walking distance to Gidea Park and buses out the front for journeys in to Romford and beyond!
Would stay again! Fantastic location!
The staff here where absolutely amazing, incredibly helpful and very cheerful.
The location is really ideal as well for being close to Romford and Gidea Park Station.
Well connected by public transport.
Nisa and the Co-Op 2 mins walk away for any light food shopping you may need.
Bed is comfortable
We were happy with our stay. The house was clean and spacious, which was good for us to share as a group of 7 people. The beds were comfy and we were provided with clean towels. Thank you!
One side note, it’s only 7 minutes walk from Romford station.
Great location, close to Romford station and a new build property. Very spacious room with fridge, kettle, tea and coffee and a smart TV and en suite bathroom and the host was very friendly and welcoming. A great stay that was very comfortable!
The hotel is conveniently situated for day trips on the train into London, and by car to the Essex countryside and coast. The room was fine. It was clean and comfortable, and big enough. The cooked breakfast was good.
I did not have breakfast, which was charged along with room because I left very early to catch my flight. But the location was great - just opposite the Romford train station and center of the city.
Great accommodation modern and convenient for transportation. Excellent communication, clear instructions and always willing to help. If I come to Romford again it's a no brainer where I'm staying.
Simple, good value accommodation very close to the A12 so very easy to get to. Some on-site parking. About a mile's walk to Romford town centre with lots of facilities.
Central location. Nice large downstairs area with lots of seating. Near Mawney Arms pub, which had friendly staff and great fish & chips (written in Romford Recorder).
