Chosen as a base as location good for places we wanted to visit. Warm welcome by Paul who showed us to our room which was good, well decorated, spotlessly clean & the bed was very comfy. The pub bar & patio was a great place to relax and enjoy the food, drink and views across to Hastings and the sea. Service was excellent. Made very welcome by Paul and Ben.

Great setting for the hotel - lovely grounds. Plenty of parking. Room was very clean and staff very friendly. There is a bar which serves draught lager. Breakfasts were very good - I had the full English breakfast - all good quality stuff and perfectly cooked. Didn’t try the evening meals. If you’re wine tasting at the Carr-Taylor Vineyard the hotel is just a mile and a quarter away. So it is walkable along a narrow road and a slightly busier road as you near the vineyard.
With leafy gardens and a restaurant, The Brickwall Hotel offers cooked breakfasts and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is situated in the pretty East Sussex village of Sedlescombe.

Breakfast was great but the room was not so much. Bathroom absolutely tiny - hardly any room to turn around, and the walls between the rooms were paper thin so we could hear literally everything (and I mean everything) that was going on in the next room
Mattress on the bed was also not great - thin and lumpy so did not get a good (2) nights sleep
Lovely Inn to go for a drink and I bet the dining is great but I would not choose to stay there again

Our stay at the George Inn was only for one night as we were attending a family wedding in the area. Our welcome from the owners was warm, friendly and personal and all the staff we met were helpful and polite. The breakfast was delicious in every aspect apart from the toast - it's a shame this was very average sliced bread. So much else on the menu is home made, locally sourced and really tasty and we both agreed that better quality bread would have enhanced the breakfast experience.

Robertsbridge is a very pretty olde worlde village and central to many places of interest. Visit Bodiam Castle, Pashley Manor Gardens, Bateman's (Rudyard Kipling's house), Smallhythe Place, Great Dixter and of course the south coast, Bexhill, Hastings etc. The George Hotel is excellent, with lovely furnishings, delicious food - and a great welcome from Jane and John. We thoroughly recommend a short stay here.

Robertsbridge was a wonderful surprise, had not been before and we were delighted with the lovely period buildings and unspoiled. Nice and quiet but with a nice community feeling to it. Lovely walks around the town. It is well positioned for visiting other nearby places too.

A lovely village with it's own history to read up on.
A lovely village with it's own history to read up on. Within easy reach of Bateman's, Rudyard Kipling's house, well worth a visit. also Sissinghurst Castle and gardens. There are many more places to visit all within easy distance.
Lovely authentic building and typically British in cosy atmosphere. Room was comfy and fine. Loved the bed linen and king size bedspace.
Pub downstairs is handy and vibrant. Kitchen is nice. Breakfast choices are great and vegetarians are treated well. Parking is in front of the hotel/pub and is free of use. You could also park in the neighbouring street.
Cute small village.
And... there is a lovely authentic bakery and coffee house only 2min walking distance. Delightfull.
Friendly staff.
Sure to come and lodge here again.
