Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, lovely room. Great location.I asked if it would be possible to leave, prosecco, chocies and flowers in the room to impress my partner. And they did exactly that! And at a very reasonable price. Dave on reception was great!

The views are wonderful, and Pilsley has plenty of connections to nearby villages like Baslow and Edensor. The Devonshire Arms does great food too if you only want a short walk for somewhere to eat. Just be prepared for those long and winding roads!

We liked being able to relax on a comfortable bed after an energetic day walking; also the enormous tasty breakfasts to start each day.
We were able to visit Bakewell just a short drive from Pilsley.
We ate at 2 different pubs - The Devonshire Arms (Pilsley} and the Devonshire Arms (Baslow).
Pilsley is so small it would be impossible to get lost therefore getting around the hamlet is very easy.
