What a stunning location! The staff were all so warm and friendly and welcoming
We were staying on a Monday so the kitchen was closed however we did get an amazing meal as the offer was made for the chef to come in for us! he also added 2 family members who live locally so we really appreciated this!

Levisham is a quintessential Yorkshire village hidden away...
Levisham is a quintessential Yorkshire village hidden away from passing traffic. It is served by a station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, but some distance away down a steep single-track road. Lots of lovely walks are at your doorstep from Levisham. Enjoy blackbirds singing and swallows swooping for their dinner!

The property neede a good clean .
The property neede a good clean . Cobwebs dirty skirting boards Toilet brush I won’t even go there!! One of limited saucepans was unusable ( inside was burnt black) Towels was so thin they didn’t dry you ( would have been better to ask visitors to bring their own)
We visited Beckhouse and stayed in several diffemt cottages and on two occasions hired with friends the farmhouse all of those visits were fantastic so hence the disappointment on this occasion. Needless to say we won’t be going back again

We stayed in Thornton Le Dale a couple of miles outside. This location is ideal in that it is within easy reach of most local attractions and also the coast. Plenty of pubs, cafes and independent shops.

Nice little market town with plenty of places to eat in the evenings, even in the winter. It is a good centre for visiting other places nearby and it has the main attraction of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
This is an excellent hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming and feel like they want you to enjoy your stay. Nothing was too much trouble. food is very good with a great range of choices. The hotel is very comfortable, our room was clean and we were very happy with it. The hotel is centrally situated to pickering Town and well situated to tour Yorkshire.
The staff were amazing, Jo and her husband were very helpful, Colin was outstanding, he was very funny at times, recommended places to go, her served us at breakfast and dinner and is a credit to the Beansheaf Hotel
Lovely people couldn't be more welcoming. The hotel was clean and quiet and perfectly placed for a walk around pickering. Breakfast was lovely and the room facilities were great.
