I picked the Cricketers Arms for its location to a wedding venue. I didn't realise we had the whole accommodation to ourselves but this was absolutely perfect because we basically had one to one attention.
The rooms were excellently furnished and the bed was super comfortable!
Super choice of tea and coffee facilities and real milk, none of this UHT stuff! Also not that we had any but if you were feeling a bit peckish, there was a selection of cereals you could help yourself to.
Full English breakfast was cooked to order and delicious!
Staff was really attentive and friendly.

Our host was very attentive to our needs. Perfect for all our family to gather for a wedding nearby. Breakfast was great.
Set within its own picturesque grounds, this award-winning former coaching inn, dating back in parts to 1430, provides traditional accommodation and a luxurious spa in the historic Sussex market town...
Conveniently placed on the A272 in the middle of Sussex countryside, this historic 5-star country inn encapsulates a balance between modern sensibility and rustic charm.

Superb service and food. Very very comfortable. Great location for walks
A very pretty market town in the heart of West Sussex.
A very pretty market town in the heart of West Sussex. Lots of upmarket places to eat and an exceptional deli. The town has easy access to Petworth House and Park, a beautiful National Trust property with stunning interiors and fabulous walks. There are many antique shops, interiors shops and some smart boutiques, and the excellent Newlands Gallery, which curates terrific exhibitions - really first class. The combination of country and tiny town (more of a large village, really) is enchanting. It's the perfect place for a weekend break.

Great place to visit, huge amount of artwork and statues although the lighting did make it difficult to appreciate the paintings to their full glory. The grounds had lots of areas to walk through and a day of sunshine made it more enjoyable

Excellent and faultless on all aspects.
Excellent and faultless on all aspects. A traditional B&B as I remember them from years ago. If you're hesitating whether to book Kilsham Farm don't, just do it, you won't be disappointed.

Loved walking through the grounds of Petworth House and we had a lovely walk through the town too on our way there and back. Plenty of antique shops and individually owned small businesses. Nice cafes too.

Good hosts, lovely shepherds hut wonderful views.basic washing facilities but adequate for the short stay. Ordered takeaway from Petworth and we agreed it was the best Indian food we have had. Local town is lovely antiques shops galore! Took trip to arundel which is close an also beautiful.
The food was mediocre but the staff was lovely, they accommodated my dog for extra money but I had to bring my own dog bed. The room was nice but it seemed a little over priced. It stated that the rooms had patios which I wanted for my dog but only 2 or 3 rooms do and we didn’t get one although I should have confirmed by phone what I wanted so that was my fault. No great dog walks from there but close to Petworth which was nice.
A lovely family hotel in peaceful rural setting but convenient for local towns eg Petworth. The restaurant was excellent, with a good mixed menu, and good cooking. Staff all courteous and helpful and housekeeping traditionally carried out, as distinct from the modern trend of not servicing rooms for short stays. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and would heartily recommend it.
The breakfast was exceptional all produce of a high quality and cooked to perfection. As we stayed two nights we also chose to have two evening meals both of which were of a high standard. Lovely room in a renovated barn to the side of the pub. Staff could not do enough for you. There is a lovely garden area to the rear.
Our room was in the converted barn and was absolutely wonderful. The Landlady and staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, both evening and breakfast. Highly recommend The Cricketers if you are looking for a lovely relaxing stay and also very convenient for Petworth National Trust.
The room was gorgeous and very clean, a nice place to relax. The breakfast in the room (due to covid), was plentiful and nicely selected. Room feels very cosy and private, with a small patio in front to enjoy if the weather allows. The location is very convenient, close to Petworth.
Everything about Cobblers Cottage is exceptional.
The location - Petworth is a lovely friendly town.
There’s lots to do in the area & the countryside is beautiful. The cottage stylish & is very well maintained, equipped & clean. The garden is a gem.
Nice decor throughout and a lovely view of the downs from the restaurant at rear of building. Good breakfast with prompt service. Plenty of parking available. Good range of ales. Handy location for Petworth and surrounding villages/towns.
We were made very welcome and shown to the room in the farmhouse which was very comfortable with a generous and modern en-suite.
We drove to Petworth for an evening meal.
The bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast really excellent.
The location was wonderful, the staff extremely friendly and considerate and the bar area and outside terrace were homely and extremely well decorated! The room was pristinely clean too! The wine was very good and the food better!
Really cute property with everything you need. Be perfect for a weekend getaway to walk Petworth and enjoy sitting outside. Great location. And like the parking outside the gate.
Everything was new and clean and very welcoming
The property was cosy, well equipped and very clean. There was a lovely seating area outside, with the bonus of a summer house. It's in the centre of Petworth with easy parking, ideal for browsing the independent shops.
very central location and with a big car park right at the rear of the property. Short level walk to everything in Petworth including the lovely Petworth House. Lots of good restaurants and interesting little shops.
Excellent and enthusiastic staff.

A good breakfast in the hotels lovely garden.
A superb location in Petworth very near the centre of this pretty town.
Very nicely set out old fashioned cottage, with nice kitchen and lovely sitting room. The location was excellent for the town and for Petworth House and Park. Close by parking just across the road.
Fantastic room in a beautiful old building. Very close to Petworth and Pertworh house. Quiet countryside location. Breakfast very tasty and great fresh coffee. Would stay again
