City with a dated shopping centre and lots of restaurants but not much more. Cathedral and grounds, museum and Cathedral Square well worth visiting. Lots of old buildings but lots of rubbish, streets were grubby and littered!

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved. I walked through the centre of town on a Wednesday night around 10:30 and did not feel safe - not normally affected like this. There are groups of homeless people around the town, not necessarily bothering people but they need support and shouldn’t be left to roam the streets. Far more homeless here than anywhere I visited recently. This was a work visit, I would not visit for pleasure

Beautiful cathedral, nice new shopping centre.

Beautiful cathedral, nice new shopping centre. The rest of the town a bit run down, many homeless people.... We should have gone for a curry instead of having dinner at the bull.... Hotel ideally located if you haven’t got much time, 5 minutes to cathedral nly! Car park at the back of hotel convenient, too, but not easy to find

Peterborough not the best city in the world, but a few shops...

Peterborough not the best city in the world, but a few shops to mooch about it, and plenty of places to eat and drink. Mum and I took a trip to the cinema. Was nice. This hotel IS NOT in the town centre. Its a little drive. But that is what we wanted.

Cathedral area well worth a visit.

Cathedral area well worth a visit. Nene Park area lovely with good flat walking and nice refreshments available. Excellent pitch n putt course. Nene valley railway station at Peterborough worth a visit to eco garden area. Plus train trips. Flag fen on outskirts is definitely worth a look, really interesting and a nice walk too. Like all cities there are some less charming areas! But some good cafes in town, Gossip good coffee and Fratellis in Rivergate for coffee and breakfast. Oh and East on the river for Asian fusion food and to sit in a boat!

The scenes in tbe back with the ducks etc- I was competing in the PCA PETERBOROUGH my car actually broke down before the show. Riley your hotel staff is another level of customer service. I've been a manager for over 10 years and I have never came across an employee like Riley ! She is a credit to Dragonfly Hotel. Even the checking in she was so welcoming - then with my car issue she had gone above and beyond too help me - you will be expecting a thank you present for Riley please ensure she receives it xx I placed also 🥉

We hired a fully serviced apartment with all modern amenities. Everything was new and clean. The apartment was huge and we felt very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and everyone one was smiling. We felt welcome. We got a 2 bedroom spacious apartment with all the appliances you need for the price of a hotel room! Exceptional value for money and the location was very nice and scenic. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Peterborough.

The hotel has a lovely spa, with a well designed pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, as well as loungers for reading. Breakfast was also plentiful and varied. big and convenient car park too, as well as polite and courteous staff.

Comfy, quiet room in pleasant near-to- woodland setting. Friendly reception staff and other guests. Nice large, modern reception area and plenty of parking. Pleasantly surprised with Peterborough city centre in evening with plenty of venues for eating out and, likewise, restaurant in hotel also seemed well-used and welcoming.

Good location off the main road and only short drive into town centre. Plenty of parking, comfortable beds and quiet room. Very good breakfast which we thought was good value for money comparative to buying breakfast in a cafe or pub. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotlessly clean, nice and fresh/modern.

The Queensgate Hotel is always a good place to stay, near the centre of Peterborough about ten minutes walk away. A bus stop across the road will take you to the central bus station near the railway station. Numerous pubs, restaurants, and takeaways nearby, plus there is a restaurant in the hotel.
