This is a small, nicely quiet village with few facilities; it is beautiful and quite suitable for staying, but you would require a car to visit other places or even do your groceries. Some features are: a public footpath through farm fields, an ancient church, a pub, a garden nursery and very kind villagers. By car it is in good reach of Sherwood Forest (along with the pittoresque Edwinstowe), Lincoln, the larger Newark-on-Trent (with 3 antique centres), Southwell, Mansfield, Sheffield, Leicester, Derby and of course Nottingham.
