We loved everything - Penny and David were wonderful hosts and the B&B is gorgeous. Beautiful views from every angle, ample parking and a perfectly cooked breakfast each morning. We would often get back after a day out to a fresh pot of tea and delicious homemade cakes.
We stayed as a family exploring the Forest of Dean. The location was perfect with direct access to the A48. We were able to store our bikes in the barn while we weren't using them which was an added bonus.
Beds were super comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay again in the future!

From the outside doesn't look to inviting. But once inside it's obvious there's a great deal of work been done on this lovely old building. With still more to be done.

Very nice location, surrounded by pretty countryside and an old canal, and very quiet at night.

The breakfast was excellent and there were lots of small touches that made it feel very special. For example there were fresh flowers, fresh milk, home made biscuits, fudge and Nespresso machine.
Everything was spotlessly clean.

The town is an architectural delight and the whole character of the area struck me as having a less commercialised atmosphere or purpose than the much visited Cotswolds just across the Severn. I should certainly welcome the opportunity to explore the hinterland at a leisurely pace.
