We had a great room with sea and mountain views. Maria and Co were lovely. Really welcoming and laid back. Location was great as well. Newcastle and the Mournes is worth the trip, the hiking is great, and would recommend Conlyn House for accommodation!

Newcastle is great for a day out or longer stay.
Newcastle is great for a day out or longer stay. It looks beautiful, even in the rain. It has the natural amenities of the beach and the mountains and in summer there's the big wheel, carousel and boating lake. There's plenty of indoor amusement arcades too. And there are so many places to get a bite to eat - from a bakery hot snack to dinner in the Slieve Donard, there's something to suit everyone. Anyone new to Newcastle should check out Graham's icecream, it's really good.

The shops, including a wide range of clothes, eating venues, take - always or restaurants. Good entertainment , for adults & children. Amusements outside for the young, eg.swimming pool, paddle swans on the river for all ages. There are plenty of parks for walks, exploring nature life either walking or cycling. A short drive from Newcastle will take a route through the mountains, which are beautiful to look at, as well as a walk through Tullymore Forest Park, suitable for picnics

Lots of places to eat. Fun amusements and swan paddle rides.
Lots of places to eat. Fun amusements and swan paddle rides. A swimming pool and Castlewellan and Tollymore forest parks are close by. You can play mini golf at Adventure Golf.
Negatives would be there is a lot of dog poo on the paths and the public toilet in Donard carpark is disgusting. There is one in the middle of the town which is just about passable but you have to use it as the amusements etc all say there's are closed

Loved the apartment it had everything we needed with great Mountain View. The location could not have been more central everything was within walking distance. The apartment was clean and well kept and beds were really comfy. The only downside for some would be the stairs as the beds and bathrooms are downstairs but this was no problem for us. Not sure it was what we had booked with booking.com as we were expecting to be in a different area of Newcastle going by their website but all turned out well.
Third time staying there and cant fault it, We booked late so didn't get the Seaview rooms, Only fault I can say is there is now some
Sewage treatment thing beside the hotel , which to my knowledge wasn’t there before, smell was a bit bad at times but not in our rooms , The breakfast is usually a big factor we pick the hotel ,but the second day the hotel were short staffed Got our order wrong numerous times leaving us to rush to check out 11 , food was brilliant as usual and will always rate this hotel as home when in newcastle.
This apartment is in such an amazing location in Newcastle. Close to all amenities with parking across the road which was free. The Pub/restaurant called Percy French right next door was fab for drinks and lunch on the terrace while breakfast in the Railway Cafe right below the apartment was insane! The beach was lovely to stroll both night and day. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in northern ireland, the family room was huge, the bathroom was exceptional, freshly refurbished by the look of it. The staff where lovely and really looked after us including my wife as it was her birthday. The breakfast was one of the best frys I've had in a stay away. Top marks to all the guys here and we will definitely be back.
Able to park nearby in Donard car park which the hotel is beside. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Nice bar and service.
Very close to all the nightlife Newcastle has to offer.
Great local food and restaurants. I did not try the food at the hotel itself.
Tea and coffee and a kettle in the room. hair dryer.
Shower worked well and bathroom was neat and clean.
We had a lovely stay in Newcastle. The location is beautiful, right on the water. The room was a decent size for 3 adults and had a nice bathroom. We absolutely loved the water view! The restaurant downstairs served huge meals for dinner and we really enjoyed the breakfast too. All the staff were super friendly and we would definitely recommend staying here.
The Apartments where in a perfect location. The apartments are spacious, very clean. They facilities are modern & well maintained. The individual bathrooms are perfect so you have that all important privacy while being away from home.
You are right in the heart of everything & you will definitely fall in love with Newcastle Co Down
Handy to everything in Newcastle.
Staff were lovely, as always.
Cosy, although maybe the rooms could do with a more modern look. The beds were soo comfy. Breakfast was one of the best Fry’s we have ever had, and we spend a lot of time travelling up and down the hotels in Ireland. Will def be back.
Thought we might get a smaller room as the price was a little less than other sites offered online. However I was absolutely delighted to discover we had a bigger room that the last time we stayed. Absolutely love this hotel and I couldn’t fault the staff. Just perfect!
Gorgeous apartment, very clean and well equipped. Very close to the seafront in Newcastle and to all amenities. Plenty of restaurants and cafes along the fabulous promenade. All with the Mourne Mountains as a backdrop.....a little piece of paradise. We will be back!
Perfect location a couple of mins walk to Newcastle city centre and the beach, easy contact less check in, free parking, had everything we needed for a one night stay. Really good price!! And you can bring your dog which is a massive plus for us.
The hotel has a very homely feeling with very well maintained hotel facilities.
Great location, nice mountain view, away from city centre however still within walking distance.
Eileen n Margaret is such lovely staff.
Everything was perfect. Convenient location to the local hotel where I attended a wedding, 3 mins walk. Easy check in. Cafe below. Warm, comfortable, clean, good mirrors!! Great value for money.
Having not been to Newcastle before, the hotel staff were brilliant. They helped us with a late check out, and couldn't do enough whilst we were there :)
Excellent room,
thanks again
