Monk Fryston is a pretty village surrounded by lovely countryside. The two restaurants recommended were close by and the food was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Monk Fryston is an excellent base from which to explore parts of Yorkshire. We look forward to visiting this area again which is easily accessible.

Waste of money,
Waste of money,
I certainly wouldn't be getting married there, it just needs £ spending on it , or close it until its properly done up.
We stayed 3 nights and not 1 night could we park in carpark.
Room 11 Pubes in the bath, fawsty smell in bedroom, so got moved to 20 at the top.
Room so dark couldn't use dressing table as mirrors all in wrong place.
Broken tiles on shelf, silicone Everywhere and not good.
Dining room dirty
menu basic but pricey!

I booked three rooms for our engineers that came up for a meeting at our offices in Sherburn-in-Elmet. Two of the rooms were OK apart from old worn furniture but the one our senior engineer got was terrible - it had water running down the walls in the bedroom!! The shower screen seal had fallen off and the bath taps leaked so much when in use, that it flooded the kitchen below. The windows did not close, so the room was freezing and the toilet roll was damp due to the condensation for the windows. The room was also above the main extractor fan to the kitchen which was on all night & it was right above the recycling bins. The exterior looks better than the interior and my colleagues had obviously been allocated the last let rooms. Disgusting; we won't be booking this hotel again!!

Monk Fryston was a huge disappointment.
Monk Fryston was a huge disappointment. We had booked it for our anniversary. The bedroom was extremely poor with black tape on the bed end, also bed end fittings were missing. A discoloured sheet instead of a valence. The bathroom was unclean, dirty grouting, grey discoloured poor quality towels. There was nothing positive in the room, especially for the money being charged.
We didn't stay, we checked out

Great value for money, with a genuine Victorian facade and beautiful grounds amounting to several acres with a lake; none of it spoiled by modernisation. Public rooms are like a gentleman's club, restaurant fare is well presented in a classic victorian environment. Generous car parking, and set in a York stone village. Recommend this hotel for a short stay with plenty of nearby places worth a visit not least Selby.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay . We received a very personal and friendly greeting on arrival . Spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed . The breakfast was amazing . We preordered the night before from an extensive menu that included natural yoghurt and fresh fruit - (strawberries, blueberries and melon).A full English breakfast, or other selections such as poached eggs and avocado on a muffin .
Thank you
The B&B was easy to find next to the Post Office in Monk Fryston. Off road parking available, it was close to the A1. Adrian Karen and Oscar were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The showere was excellent. Breakfast was delicious, with several options available. The Crown pub was 5 mins walk away and had excellent food with two real ales. I would use again
The accommodation was really lovely and the location was good. The room was very clean and breakfast table laid out nicely. The breakfast on offer was of quality ingredients and plentiful.
We were only passing through but found Monk Fryston quite a lovely place to have a walk around. It looks to be in an interesting area.
Everything about our stay was exceptional! The hosts are wonderful and our room was delightful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious every day with lovely choices on the menu. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Thank you!
Super welcome, a very comfortable room with little touches that wouldn't be out of place in much larger hotels, such as locally made cookies and chocolate. A couple of pubs with very good food and beer within easy walking distance.
Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice. Lots of thoughtful little touches in the room which were very tastefully decorated. Monk Fryston itself is also quite interesting and the heritage trail is worth doing.
It was a beautiful hotel. Very pretty with lots if flowers
It was nice and small and so quiet. All the attention to little details was appreciated I will definitely stay here again when i next travel here
