Great character. Homely feel. Quirky touches without being eccentric. Nice gardens. Felt private. Swimming pool.

Staff are very friendly and the property was very clean and fresh. We enjoyed freshly cooked food.
The garden is beautiful with its pond and waterfall, you could spend a peaceful day just relaxing there with a good book.
Would love to visit again in the future
One of the nicer small harbours in Cornwall. Plenty of eating places and two small museums of local interest. Plenty of parking spaces but be aware not a place to drive through due to the narrowness of the streets which require plenty of patience.

Mevagissey is a picturesque fishing village by the sea. There are good restaurants, pubs and cafes. I had good meals at Sharksfin, Alvorada, Salamander and Fountains Inn. Nearby there are other attractions such as the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Charlestown.

Mevagissey is great but the accommodation was poor, bedding was stained and dirty and the owners are refusing to acknowledge it . This cottage owners are not good hosts . The bedding was filthy, the mattresses are so old and need to change

The town was quaint and full of history and character, very narrow streets not good for driving. The Pubs (Ship Inn) was excellent including the food if a bit pricey. The restaurants were excellent (Salamander and Polkirk One )Not cheap but good value for money. Very hilly trying to get out of town centre if you're old or athsmatic.Don't book a hotel up Polkirk Hill it's very steep.

Lovely little village and well worth a visit!
Lovely little village and well worth a visit! It has several really good pubs and restaurants. We’ve only ever been in October but I’m sure it would be lovely during the summer! Driving through the village if you need to get to accommodation up the hill can sometimes be a challenge. Just take it slow and not be in a hurry!

Been there 3 times now absolutely love it , lovely people run it and lovely staff , breakfast is amazing, and when we arrived had lovely scones and cream and a cup of tea , clean rooms and some good touches, Evan a box of chocolates on the bed , it really is a lovely place to stay And a 15 min walk to shops , pubs ,
Everything! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay .
Must mention the fantastic couple who own and run this hotel . They certainly go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one !
And the food is excellent too, the sticky toffee pudding is to die for !
We loved it so much we had our evening meal there on 3 of our 4 night stay , it would have been 4 but the restaurant was fully booked.
Great find and a gem of a hotel!
Would heartily recommend.
If we ever return to Cornwall this hotel would be our hotel of choice.
Thanks for a great few days .
What a lovely place! Our room was lovely, facing the sea, a good size and lovely big bathroom. The staff are friendly and the breakfast of a very good standard. Sadly the restaurant wasn't open but the bar snacks that were available were lovely. This was the most expensive of all of the hotels that we booked on our trip but was worth the extra money. It is within walking distance of Mevagissey which is a special place in itself.
We loved Mevagissey. Lovely room. Very clean and comfortable with a great view over the harbour. We really appreciated the quality of the lighting in the room. Very often hotel rooms particularly bathrooms have poor lighting. Helen was an excellent host and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was nice to be in a working port and share the dining room with the local fisherman having their morning coffee.
I loved everything, the staff, location and the service was impeccable. I can’t remember the last time I felt so relaxed and chilled out so I am so very thankful to mevagissey bay hotel for making my weekend perfect
Great location on edge of Mevagissey. Breakfast excellent, freshly cooked to order. Lovely room, all areas very clean. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return!
