The Old Lodge, hotel in Malton

Set within stunning grounds, this beautiful Tudor mansion is situated in the lovely market town of Malton. It features elegant, individually decorated rooms and a restaurant with a seasonal menu.

Beautiful place, very quiet peaceful venue with gorgeous gardens and amazingly luxurious rooms. My fiancée and I had the best sleep ever! The staff are amazingly helpful too - you can order flowers, chocolates and champagne ahead of your visit if you email them and they'll happily ensure it's all ready and waiting for your arrival. As for food: the dinner menu seems to change each month so the menu on their website isnt accurate anymore, and the options are limited but that clearly allows them to focus on making each dish perfect because our meals were absolutely delicious. Also their selection of alcohol is fantastic - my fiancée and I now have a new favourite wine and gin!

Bella Rose Lodge with Hot Tub, hotel in Malton

Located 8.3 km from Flamingo Land Theme Park, Bella Rose Lodge with Hot Tub provides accommodation in Malton with access to a hot tub.

The size was great for a family of 5, it was mostly clean plenty bedding provided for the pull out sofa bed. It had everything we needed to cook and to ensure a comfortable stay. The site is quiet and private, this helped if you’re conscious about getting in and out the hottub without people seeing. Pool guy was polite and serviced the tub with a smile.

Amazing little cabin, so clean and spacious for 2. Couldn't have asked for better hosts, we didn't want to go home! They had even gone so far to bake some lovely scones and leave some indoors for us.

The Annex, hotel in Malton

The Annex is situated in Malton, 19 km from Flamingo Land Theme Park, 22 km from Dalby Forest, as well as 29 km from The Spa Scarborough.

An extremely well finished apartment with everything you could possibly need for your stay, very clean and tidy, in a lovely, quiet, and peaceful area. Our fantastic host Andy was quite worried about our welfare as we were quite late arriving due to travel problems, and nothing was too much trouble for him. We will definitely be coming back for another stay here and will be highly recommending The Annex to family and friends. 5+ stars!

Situation between Moors, Wolds, Vale of Pickering and Howadian Hills. Easy access to the coast - Scarborough and Whitby 18 miles to York Nice buildings - churches and Georgian / early Victorian houses and shops Golden stone when the sun shines Food Capital of Yorkshire Friendly helpful people - good laughs.

Lovely small town atmosphere and location with some fabulous places to eat. Within easy reach of Scarborough and closer attractive places such as Pickering, Thirsk and Thornton-le-Dale. The only downside to Malton itself is that many shops, eateries & bars etc. do not open on Mondays and many close early midweek at either 5pm or 9:30pm at the latest?

A beautiful town with lots of quirky independent shops, an amazing food market and market. I love it and would love to live here. Easy to reach both the coast and York from here so an ideal place to stay for a holiday.

Wonderful range of independent shops, and cafes.

Wonderful range of independent shops, and cafes. Leonis coffee shop was one of many excellent places to eat/drink. Captain Barneys provides great facilities for the younger members, especially if the weather is not ideal. Free parking for 2 hours in the market place area - good luck finding a free space, but there is a large car park 5 minutes from the centre of Malton - prices not ridiculous.

It was nice to have streets not taken up with many charity shops which seems to be the trend in other areas. Plenty of places to eat as long as you don't leave it too late. People are very warm and welcoming. Electric vehicle owners beware. Although some charge points are available they are scarce and had to charge in the evening to ensure enough charge for the next. Being in a rural area, having more charge points would have taken some of the extra planning and anxiety away and made the visit totally enjoyable. Went to the market but only 3 stalls set up. I suppose that's a reflection of today's economy. Overall, we loved Malton and will use it has a base to visit other areas of North Yorkshire

Unfortunately leaving was the best part.

Unfortunately leaving was the best part. It was very expensive for what you got. The room was vintage as expected but the shower ceiling was black with mould and triggered my Asthma with the smell. My wife wouldn’t shower due to the smell. The staff were miserable and did what they needed to but no more. Only told three days earlier that Xmas parties were on so no Kithchen on night we were there. No time to change venue as all booked up. I am sure they new well in advance about the parties, I booked well earlier so not happy at last minute warning.

Malton is such a beautiful setting and the hotel building is amazing, as are the views. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We would have loved to have had a drink in the bar but our little boy was tired from his day at Flamingo Land so we ordered take away and had an early night. The breakfast was delicious!!!

Lovely peaceful location. Convenient for Malton, East Coast and not far to York. Beautiful Yorkshire stone house with very comfortable lounges and bar area. Lovely grounds and some great walks from the house. Stayed in Bolton room at the back of the house - comfortable room, quite compact.

Lovely room, nicely decorated, not the usual boring magnolia paint job. The bed was very comfy and we had a great night's sleep with no noise from the pub below. Great pizza and good breakfast. Handy location for York and North Yorkshire. Bus stop on the doorstep.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming! Happy to chat and talk about Malton. Really close to the market square, with great views over the country side. We had our evening meal and breakfast in the hotel and both were very enjoyable.

The location was perfect for spending time in and around Malton and for a day trip to York. The garden was lovely. The owners introduced themselves, lent us a book on Malton, and were very sweet.
