The Bell Inn Hotel, hotel in Lyndhurst

Dating from 1782, the historic Bell Inn Hotel combines period features with contemporary guest rooms in the heart of the New Forest. It has 2 golf courses on the doorstep.

The team running The Bell Inn were absolutely brilliant, all incredibly pleasant and easy going individuals knowing when to converse and when to leave you be. Likewise, the rooms are spacious and airy with lovely décor, the bedding was spot on as was the rest of the room and available amenities. Food quality night and day was great, with a lovely restaurant setting with deals on dinner throughout the week. Location is spot on, being just 5 mins from the M27 you have all the benefits of being able to flit about the area quickly with very little compromise on basal noise levels. Noise is a non issue at this property as the layout and décor seems to soak a lot of it up. Should you choose this hotel, no doubt it will pleasantly add to your experience and make it more memorable. Highly recommend.

    I love Lyndhurst .

I love Lyndhurst . I love the little cemetery just past Bolters Bench. Walking my dog along the foot paths which are never muddy. Lyndhurst is central to visiting lots of other places being just a short drive away. I love the high street and its various array of shops, restaurants and good pubs. Lyndhurst captures a time past and is always relaxing and hassle free.

Such a beautiful hotel, very welcoming. Staff were amazing nothing too much trouble, the food was excellent so nice to have vegetables with our meals not just the usual chips. The signature pies were amazing . Just be aware of the stairs to the bedrooms very steep

The Bell Inn is several miles from Lyndhurst in the beautiful New Forest; lovely walks over heath and woodland and, if you're lucky, you'll encounter ponies, donkeys and pigs roaming free locally; drive carefully!

Lyndhurst is a great place to stay for exploring the New Forest. It has a good mix of interesting shops and restaurants and a good sized car-park in the centre. That said, it can get very busy and there can be traffic queues in high-season since it is a bit of a bottleneck. So I'd recommend visiting slightly off-season.

The location the area nice cosy pub the size of our room 4 What let it down for us was the lack of options for gluten free breakfast no cereals no fruit no yogurts then when we did get breakfast it was cold toast rock hard it wasn’t even busy only us two for breakfast We wanted to order gluten free fish and chips but fryer broken so was limited on evening options but what we did order was tasty I must say I was impressed by the staff knowledge on g/f intolerance and allergies.

The location was perfect with easy access to the main shopping street and restaurants in Lyndhurst. The Heritage Centre was an easy 5 minute walk, and there were plenty of places within easy reach to explore by car. The staff were friendly and helpful and a generous breakfast was included in the price. Free car parking was available at the rear of the hotel, which was very convenient.
