Between Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales, Leeds is a stately city with a wealth of impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings. The most celebrated is the town hall, a Grade I-listed gem with a huge clock tower supported by columns. Just around the corner is the understated Leeds Cathedral, and between the two is Millennium Square, a large urban space that plays host to outdoor concerts and a German Christmas market.
Shopping in Leeds is fantastic. Kirkgate Market is Europe’s largest covered market, and the magnificent, round Corn Exchange is home to exclusive boutiques. The city also has the first Harvey Nichols outside of London, as well as the usual high street brands.
As home to 2 large universities, Leeds has a young and vibrant vibe. It has repeatedly been voted the clubbing capital of the UK and is home to the Leeds Festival, an annual music event that attracts thousands.
The city also has excellent sporting pedigree. Internationals are held at Headingley cricket ground, and Leeds United FC and the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team are well-known names in their fields.
On the outskirts of the city are wonderful Roundhay Park, Kirkstall Abbey and Leeds-Bradford International Airport. Leeds accommodation on Booking.com covers all areas of this elegant city.

Leeds is a vibrant, multi-cultural town with lots to do, good transport and a variety of interesting restaurants and shops. There are art house cinemas, theatres, concert venues and sporting events.
My favourite restaurants were Mommy Thai and Gino D’Acampo. Used a variety of buses and Ubers. Great choice of food from Deliveroo too, coffee & brunch at Laynes. Also loved the Everyman Leeds cinema for live streaming, comfy settees & food at your seat.
Weekends are rammed with hen & bachelor parties. Quite a few homeless people & beggars on the streets.

The room was 28.5 degrees, putting the AC on made it hotter still, there were no fans left. Lasted until 4am, drenched and thirsty went to reception at 4am and got the windows unlocked, which only made a slight difference as it was overlooking internal courtyard. Payed for 2 rooms, friends had same problem. There was a known problem with air on, so why weren’t all the windows open beforehand for comfort. It was our wedding anniversary. It was the most unbearable experience, we would have had a better nights sleep rough sleeping. Feel quite annoyed at paying £305 for having to sleep in a sauna.

Leeds is beautiful and the centre is compact and walkable.
Leeds is beautiful and the centre is compact and walkable. Impossible to drive in. Public transport no good for tourists. To get to the royal armouries museum you need a taxi and they will get lost. The leeds museum is excellent but the art gallery is appalling. They keep all their assets in store and refuse to exhibit them. Hardly anything to see there. Arcades are beautiful.
Really lovely location, walking distance from the city centre but far enough away that it was nice and quiet. Lovely location by the docks and view from our room. We visited Leeds for an event and the hotel provided exactly what we needed. Good room, comfy bed, nice variety at breakfast. Great that safe parking was so close by and that we could leave the car there for the duration of our stay.
Real little gem in great location. Well-equipped, good views, nearby shops and cafes. We only stayed one night but it would be ideal for longer stay. Overlooks Leeds Dock in quiet location with about 20 minutes walk to city centre.- or you can take little boat from terminus. Right next To Royal Armouries too. Good value compared with hotels with more freedom.
location is ideal for city centre and arena, rooms are a nice size with good facilities, air con and comfortable beds, its also very quiet to say its next to a main busy road. staff are friendly and polite and breakfast that i had was very nice, parking with cctv attached payable to hotel. this would be my first choice in future. would recommend this hotel.
Stunning boutique hotel in the heart of leeds, beautiful building with original features and stunning lobby and winding mahogany staircase
Super quiet, comfortable room and excellent facilities
The staff were amazing and so attentive
L'occitane toiletries and good quality tea and coffee. Excellent value for city centre and standard of accommodation.
very quiet, clean and comfortable with a homely feel and character, unlike so many apartments. Probably because it used to be a (Victorian) home. Pleasantly situated within walking distance of the city centre, although a bus service is nearby. Heating and TV easy to operate, again unlike so many apartments. Appliances mostly worked very well.
The customer service at the front desk was amazing by both staff members that we encountered during our visit. Extremely friendly and helpful, one of them even got us a last minute booking reserved at their sister branch hotel on the other side of the city centre as more of us arrived on our visit to Leeds last minute.
Breakfast was very good, good choice and the food was tasty.
The location being close to city centre and the Leeds arena was perfect
Unresticted parking being available was a bonus although after paying £245 to stay at hotel being asked to pay a further £15 just to leave vehicle there was excessive
The place is cheap and cheerful. Great for a night's stay whilst attending a conference. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is convenient for travel into/from the city centre. Easy by taxi or bus with enough places nearby for food/drink of the evening.
Very comfortable, great location for Leeds city centre, friendly staff. Room fairly basic but very clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet was good and varied. Perfect for a graduation family stay. Would definitely use the hotel again for a Leeds weekend break.
Our visit met our expectations, we found the hotel was well situated off the motorway and a short drive to Leeds City Centre and a short journey to York. Breakfast was good and the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
1) great location in the city centre
2) modern, fresh hotel with nice quirky touches
3) overnight car parking in the car park next door only cost me £5
4) the room was silent at night
5) great value
