Friendly welcome, and we were shown to our room. The bedroom was relatively small but we had a "Jack and Jill" room which had an adjacent room set up as a sitting room that we could use, which was lovely. Air conditioning in rooms, v good. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty.

Our accommodation was self contained and met all our needs. It would suit a longer stay. The rural location meant lots of bird life could be seen in the garden at breakfast time and the owner's chickens provided something completely new for us.
Tina was a charming and excellent host with fantastic breakfasts. Very knowledgeable too and very helpful.
Langport is a lovely place. Plenty of shops including a fish and chip and a nearby Tesco, and 2 very impressive churches and a super river with a very walkable footpath. It's a great place in itself but it's also a good base for visiting nearby attractions such as the Abbey etc.

Aller, where the Hotel is, is a small village but its not far from Langport which is a village with a high street and pretty light colour brick houses.
Aller also has these type of houses also and if you have a dog with you there is an area to take them to about 10mins walk away for their exercise. I loved the whole area. It was so pretty. Well worth a stay.

We enjoyed one meal at the Devonshire Arms. Breakfast was very good, great poached eggs. Young lady, sorry I didn't ask her name was an asset to the business, serving breakfast, cleaning and checking us out, all done with a smile.
Lovely to see locals supporting the Local bar.

There are plenty of lovely walks in the area and lots of National Trust places to visit.
There are a few restaurants in Langport and a fish and chip shop. There is also a Tesco so you can always grab a sandwich for lunch. We had a few meals at the Firehouse in Curry Rival which is quite good but busy.

Good location, central for visiting all local attractions.
Good location, central for visiting all local attractions. We ate at The Old Pound Inn three evenings and have to say both the food and service were excellent. Great value for money.
We also made a stop at the Cider Shack a mile up the road for a cream tea but be aware it was Sunday afternoon and there were several locals drinking cider and getting very loud. Language was very colourful, so be aware if you are easily offended or have young children!
The Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The Pub itself was busy but you couldn't hear this from the room. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day with clean towels, bed linen, coffee, tea and milk every couple of days. It had a small fridge so I could keep my dogs food in it or our drinks. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The food was cooked very well and so tasty and the choice was very good. I would highly recommend this Hotel.
This was a lovely small hotel, like a B & B very close to friends who we were visiting in Langport. The staff were so kind and helpful. The bed was, honestly, one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Each staff member went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I was actually a little sad to move on to London after our few days in the country side.
Ideal location for us as we were visiting family. Close to Ilminster & Langport for shops and cafes.
Great access for walking without having to drive somewhere.
Very well equipped, with tea coffee, milk, bread & goodies on arrival - great after doing battle with the A303!
Really good outdoor spaces for eating, drinking or just relaxing.
well located for Langport. room comfortable, clean with an excellent shower. Very hot the night we stayed so lovely surprise to find a fan in the room, that was a life saver. Pib nicely furnished although we didn’t use as it was closed. Owner and housekeeper very friendly
The location was excellent in the countryside but close enough to Langport for shops, restaurants etc.
The accommodation was perfect, comfortable bed, hot shower and lovely furnishings.
Will definitely return.
We liked the comfort of the beds, the apartment was spotless and the location was close to Langport's amenities. Check in was really easy and the courtyard was lovely. Communication was also excellent.
Breakfast and other items was a nice touch
Managed to walk to Langport lovely vibrant town
And also the Abbey well worth the walk
The host was excellent and helpfull
Lovely little studio flat with separate shower room and toilet in the pretty little town of Langport. Clean and comfortable. Pretty shared garden and easy parking.
Hosts were lovely, very welcoming. It was lovely being able to sit outside in a beautiful quiet garden. Full kitchen and more space than you get in a hotel room.
The hotel was really nice, the room was fantastic and very spacious.
The staff were extremely friendly and provided a very good service
The food was excellent
