Liked the buffet - fruit, Greek yogurt and local butter to go with toast. Staff were accommodating at letting me have an egg with my vegan cooked breakfast as I’m vegetarian and still like eggs! Service prompt and attentive.

Charming historic city with lots to see and do.
The city is home to two universities and has over 20,000 students staying at any time so the city is vibrant diverse and appealing.
A stone throw from the Lake District and Morcomb so a really great base for moving about but a wonderful city to move in with an abundance of enjoyable attractions, a central bus station to attractions and a main railway station.
Lancaster is a really wonderful city.

Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway,...
Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway, into Lancaster itself, into Morecambe but also inland into the countryside.
Rooms are the usual fare – clean and tidy but long corridors and a bit soulless.
Food is good.
Remember to register your vehicle registration otherwise you get a parking ticket. We weren't told this and have had to appeal against the ticket. If we lose it's a £100 fine.

I went to university here.
I went to university here. Lancaster is a handsome Northern city. NOT particularly pretty but with lots of architectural interest. The food at 'The Merchants' and 'The Quarterhouse' is excellent - and contrasting. It needs good restaurants and both of these are, in there own way, remarkable. Jay Rayner did a fantastic review of 'The Merchants' in The Guardian. He was right. Brilliant food in a nice setting right in the middle of town and also amazing value. It is 'pub prices' for really sophisticated, but 'wholesome' food. BOTH MUST survive, please.

I lived in Lancaster for almost 20 years and I love it.
I lived in Lancaster for almost 20 years and I love it. I still live locally and I went to the hotel as a reward/treat to myself after a significant loss in my life. Lancaster is quite a compact city which is crammed with history and culture and independent shops.

Had a guided tour of the castle which was very interesting.
Had a guided tour of the castle which was very interesting. We also visited the Abbey adjacent. We also like the promenade walk along the River Lune which is easily accessible from the hotel. Lancaster is built on hills so for the mobility limited it can be difficult to walk around. We drove directly to the castle car park for blue badge holders. We ate all meals in our hotel.

normal shopping in the city has declined .
normal shopping in the city has declined .
It seems to be just coffee shops and Barbers.
if you are a tourist there is the castle to look around and the museum only.
if you are a student or like a drink, there is lots of student accommodation
and lots of bars and a few nightclubs
I love this hotel. The spa is amazing with a warm swimming pool and hot jacuzzi indoor and outdoor. No additional charge for guests. The newly refurbished sauna and steamroom area is great. Breakfast is also delicious and there is a great choice. We had an evening meal and we really enjoyed what we had, super tasty
Beds are big and comfortable, it's a quiet location right on Lancaster University site. So we had a great night's sleep. Staff were helpful too. When I visit Lancaster, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
We loved everything, all the staff especially the manager were so polite and helpful from the minute we walked in, our bags were kindly moved up to our room so we could head to a nearby festival in the city, the room was very large and beautifully presented, we had a great sleep, and then the next morning a fantastic breakfast. There is also a lovely beer garden at the rear, We will definitely be staying again and recommending the hotel and bar to everyone visiting Lancaster. Thankyou.
Booked The Lodge for my grandparents who were coming to Lancaster for my graduation. The room was excellent, accommodating for their limited mobility and were able to park the car right outside the room. The staff were extremely friendly and went the extra mile to help set up my grandparents Sat Nav on the day of my graduation. On top of this, the price was very reasonable for the lovely room during graduation week (most other places I looked at were significantly more expensive).
Very friendly staff, beautiful room, great facilities. The food was delicious, My wife had the salad super bowl which was amazing, so many flavours. I had the gammon which was tender and very tasty, and best of all, excellent value for money. Good selection of beers in the bar and even though it's a big space, it still had a cozy atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return next time we visit Lancaster.
The breakfast was succulent and you can ask whatever you like. Of course it was a menu breakfast, however you can merely ask whatever you want. My son wants to go to Lancaster University and we went for a visit to the University.
We stay at Stork hotel and feel at home. Away from Mauritius and feeling at home is a good feeling.
Will be back in September and every six months.

Excellent, comfortable room with plenty of space and basically everything one needs. The person welcoming us was very helpful and friendly. We had some trouble finding parking space, but luckily the £5 a night on site parking space was made available to us. The room was clean and kept clean. The hotel was close to pretty much everything. Lancaster isn't that big, is it.
Have returned to this hotel several times and most recently in July '23. Wagon and Horses is comfortable, smart and welcoming and is on the bank of the River Lune a few minutes walk from the centre of Lancaster. Our room was clean and well-equipped. The lounge-cum-dining room is large but cosy and breakfasts are very good. Will continue to use in future.
Carole and her team run an excellent hotel. Friendly and helpful food and service 5star. Room clean and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the service second to none. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Central location easy to get to shopping, transport and sightseeing. Would highly recommend the place to stay in Lancaster.
Very friendly owner with lots of advice of what to see and where to eat. Super friendly breakfast lady who couldn’t do enough for us. Free parking on the street or behind the hotel in a car park. We arrived on a Sunday so the car park was empty but it is also used by the industrial estate so was full when we left on Wednesday.
Given that we only spent one night so our experience was limited; the front desk person - Abby- checking us in and out was wonderful. She was ever so pleasant, every question and request was calmly and efficiently handled. The Hotel was clean and very pleasant but Abby was what made it feel welcoming and relaxing.
We particularly appreciated the reception team, who could not have been more helpful. Patricia was a real star. This is an excellent hotel to use as a base for visiting the historic city of Lancaster. Great parking, comfy rooms & a lovely breakfast too. A five minute drive from the M6 makes it easy to access.
The location is great as its right in the centre of Lancaster, the place looks great, staff were great and the room was lovely, best shower I have ever had in a hotel room as well. It was immaculately clean and there are many restaurants and tourist places nearby the hotel.
It was our second time staying at the Crows Hotel. The location is very convenient for the centre of Lancaster, including the station, and the room is very comfortable. The kitchen area is very useful.
This Hotel was a great find, and perfect for our transition through Lancaster.
The room was well furnished and clean, the meals were delicious, and the staff were both professional and friendly.
It was great having an apartment in the middle of Lancaster. We were a group of friends so much nicer to have a kitchen and a lounge to hang out in. Everything was very clean and modern.
