Charming historic city with lots to see and do.
The city is home to two universities and has over 20,000 students staying at any time so the city is vibrant diverse and appealing.
A stone throw from the Lake District and Morcomb so a really great base for moving about but a wonderful city to move in with an abundance of enjoyable attractions, a central bus station to attractions and a main railway station.
Lancaster is a really wonderful city.

Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway,...
Very conveniently located for access to the M6 motorway, into Lancaster itself, into Morecambe but also inland into the countryside.
Rooms are the usual fare – clean and tidy but long corridors and a bit soulless.
Food is good.
Remember to register your vehicle registration otherwise you get a parking ticket. We weren't told this and have had to appeal against the ticket. If we lose it's a £100 fine.

I went to university here.
I went to university here. Lancaster is a handsome Northern city. NOT particularly pretty but with lots of architectural interest. The food at 'The Merchants' and 'The Quarterhouse' is excellent - and contrasting. It needs good restaurants and both of these are, in there own way, remarkable. Jay Rayner did a fantastic review of 'The Merchants' in The Guardian. He was right. Brilliant food in a nice setting right in the middle of town and also amazing value. It is 'pub prices' for really sophisticated, but 'wholesome' food. BOTH MUST survive, please.

I lived in Lancaster for almost 20 years and I love it.
I lived in Lancaster for almost 20 years and I love it. I still live locally and I went to the hotel as a reward/treat to myself after a significant loss in my life. Lancaster is quite a compact city which is crammed with history and culture and independent shops.

Had a guided tour of the castle which was very interesting.
Had a guided tour of the castle which was very interesting. We also visited the Abbey adjacent. We also like the promenade walk along the River Lune which is easily accessible from the hotel. Lancaster is built on hills so for the mobility limited it can be difficult to walk around. We drove directly to the castle car park for blue badge holders. We ate all meals in our hotel.

normal shopping in the city has declined .
normal shopping in the city has declined .
It seems to be just coffee shops and Barbers.
if you are a tourist there is the castle to look around and the museum only.
if you are a student or like a drink, there is lots of student accommodation
and lots of bars and a few nightclubs
Really lovely Hosts...they couldn't be more welcoming. The hotel was spotless and in a really good comfortable condition. Breakfast was plentiful and you had a good choice of drinks, yoghurts, breakfast bars, fruit, cereals and toast with jams and marmalade.
There was free parking at the rear of the building which was a real bonus!
The owners were very good at giving advice of where to visit and pubs and restaurants to try out.
Really enjoyed our stay and will be going back the next time in Lancaster....
Picture perfect cottage with original fireplace and oak beams , as well as a well tended garden looked after by a neighbour. Sally, the host, is so lovely and made us very welcome with enough for a cuppa to get us settled. The local shop was a couple of minutes walk and the Black Bill in at the bottom of the street. we also had a meal in The Station Hotel with family who live in Lancaster and everyone, including the 7 and 2 x12 year olds. We will definitely be back.
Honestly loved it… travelled from Manchester seeing my partner in Lancaster. Usually booked with holiday inn but honestly found this gem last week… the coffee machine Costa coffee loved it… not one bad thing to say I was impressed and the value of money was perfect. I’ll be a new regular here. Oh if you like chilling out and watching Netflix itv x or bbc player it’s all hooked on the tv which many hotels don’t have. Ados take away do nice kebabs too lol
The building was very historic and interesting with a good location in the centre of Lancaster which isn't very big to walk around. The room was a decent size. The breakfast was paid for separately but had a very wide choice.
We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and all the food was good. Table service for drinks was also an added benefit.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Would stay here again.
The staff were lovely and most professional and polite. The hotel is in a lovely rural location but is well used and convenient for Lancaster Very nice comfortable decor.. Really dog friendly place.
Food excellent in both taste and value for money. Room so comfortable and very well presented. Absolutely spotless.
A perfect location near everything in Lancaster, a short 5 minute walk from the train station. Large hotel, nice sized rooms, comfortable beds, and with extra pillows in the room. An Ibis hotel won't be a luxury stay, but they give you all that you need, with excellent value for the money.
The hotel is right in the town centre. Very clean, comfortable and inviting. They went the extra mile with providing us with everything we needed for our stay! The guy at check in was very kind too. This is definitely somewhere we will stay again.
Lovely room!
The hotel is well-located, everything in the center of Lancaster (and also the train station) is in reach by walking. Bus stops are also nearby.
The small breakfast opportunity was perfect for my business trip!
It was our second time staying at the Crows Hotel. The location is very convenient for the centre of Lancaster, including the station, and the room is very comfortable. The kitchen area is very useful.
it’s a great place for short term rentals and very quiet areas not to far from Lancaster city .
It’s more like a studies station than a hotel’s. But the price is great and the holders are amazingly.
This Hotel was a great find, and perfect for our transition through Lancaster.
The room was well furnished and clean, the meals were delicious, and the staff were both professional and friendly.
Good hotel on the university campus. Easy access quiet room. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good pub meals. Try the Lancashire hotpot. Easy access to Lancaster and the lakes
Excellently equipped and comfortable hotel in the centre of Lancaster. Staff were very pleasant and chatty. Room and bathroom were very clean and bed was really comfy.
Townhouse rooms are beautiful! Perfect for people travelling and working in Lancaster. They felt like home and had plenty of space, much nicer than a basic hotel room.
